No spoilers here! Visited Black Creek for their Halloween event, The Haunting at Black Creek. Our host, Jack, was amazing. They made sure to engage everyone from the group and really made it a fun experience. It was neat to learn the history of the building we were exploring. It wasn't as scary as it was made out to be on their website.

Old school but fun. Our daughter might drag her feet about going but once she is there she doesn't want to leave. She loves learning about how things were done in the old days. She loved the Halloween treasure hunt. She loves talking to the actors who learn their craft. She loves all the animals. It's fun mix for both adults and kids for learning. You can also have weddings and host functions there. And if you want to learn about the "mysterious" stone masons, check out their hidden room!

Brought my family here for the first time this past month and I only wish Id discovered it earlier! Wonderful place to explore. We all loved the Punch and Judy show, and the kids were pretty thrilled with the animals. Mum and Dad would have preferred to have lingered over the historical aspects a bit more, but hopefully when the kids are older and have a bit more patience.

Pricing for all ages wasn't overly expensive. In our experience we probably needed more than one day to try and fit everything in. So much information to learn when standing in each house talking to the staff working there. Alone you need a good quantity of time just to take in the houses, learn how to do candle dipping, having your fortune told by Apple peels. Trying freshly baked gingerbread cookies and apple cider. I would recommend taking the kids to learn some fun history

Amazing place. Went with my 12yo daughter with special needs. The staff were amazing and it was calm and quiet on this homeschool day they had set aside. Lots of interactive workshops. Great acting and story telling and beautiful and educational village that will make u long for the simpler and more real life. Super clean grounds and well maintained and thought out. Bathrooms accessible and very clean!

View ProfileHaving an outdoor event is always nice and even more so when you are surrounded by heritage homes and old time structures. There is a charm in holding one's event at Black Creek Pioneer Village, and even more so if you love animals. :) It's a lovely venue.

View ProfileWe loved being part of the unique culinary and heritage experience celebrating local food, businesses and history at Black Creek’s Local Food Festival!
Seeing the heritage educators demonstrating how rural families in the 19th century made a product similar to ours and how they prepared for the harvest was an awesome experience.
We're looking forward to being at Black Creek Pioneer Village time and time again.
