Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough. My daughter’s baby shower was held at Renaissance by the Creek and it was a very magical event. I want to thank the Sales Manager, Tristan da Silva for going above and beyond. Tristan was so knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to deal with. Thank you Tristan for being the wonderful person that you are and making our event extra special.
I’d also like to thank Odilia and Elizabeth for being so helpful, supportive and so friendly with all of our guests. You both were awesome and we were so grateful that you both were there to assist us. Again, thank you Tristan, Odilia & Elizabeth for all you did that day. Fatima Labinowicz

I trusted Renaissance to host my wedding, and I feel disappointed on several grounds.

First, we had several guests point out that the chicken was slightly undercooked and needed more time. Of course, given that the quality of the food served is one of the most memorable aspects of a wedding, we were upset that some of our favourite guests were unhappy with the meals the kitchen staff served.

Second, we had paid for plated seated salads but on the day of the wedding we were shocked to see family-style (one big bowl for each table) being served. This was a huge let down because, again, we paid to have individual plated salads to allow our guests to enjoy our wedding, rather than be busy serving themselves food. Added to this is the fact that it took more than 2 weeks to get the refund for their mistake.

The final disappointment was the lighting situation. There were times when the lighting in the room would go from really bright to dim, to back up to bright, and then to dim. When we saw our wedding video, we were shocked at the light inconsistencies. We had wanted it dim throughout but for some reason it would go back to being bright after a few dances. It wasn't the type of ambiance we wanted at our wedding.

If cleanliness is something you also care about, then this place is not for you. With all the rooms being occupied at full capacity, you would hope that Renaissance would pay to have the washrooms cleaned more regularly. However, vomit was left in the stalls and our guests voiced their disgust with the place overall.

It is with sadness that I write this given the passion that the Renaissance team has for their business and operation. If I would make the decision all over again, I would choose another banquet hall to host my wedding. If you are considering this place, please consider carefully to avoid the disappointment we experienced.

New Years Eve 2023 was brilliant. A real quality event. The ambiance was classy and the food was top notch restaurant style. The midnight buffet was wonderful with lots of sea food, lobster and much more. The band played until 2:10 am and people were still dancing and enjoying. Congratulations to Hercina and Triston who organized this brilliant NYE, and who were also very friendly and pleasant to everyone. As we, Duo Somluso, have played many NYEs, I would say this one was among the top. I would definitely recommend the Renaissance by the Creek any day.

We had a great experience at the Renaissance for our wedding. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and made our day special. The food is amazing all of our guests loved it and we did too. The late night stations are great. Nice venue with lots of space for however many guests you have. Tristan was our Sales Manager and made the experience so easy for us and ensured that we got everything we dreamed of. I would 100% recommend having Tristan as your sales manager and booking at the Renaissance by the Creek.

I was excited to attend my friend’s wedding, Aug 13/22, what a disaster it was!!
Service was so bad, we had to ask for the bread basket and water for our table. All the dinner courses were cold, salmon was charred, filet mignon was over cooked like cardboard. The tartufo was melted, guest beside me told server to take it back, he did, and no one else at the table got dessert, he never came back with more, no coffee! I could continue but too much to list. I feel bad for the bride and groom as they had no choice but to pay! It should’ve been a beautiful day for them instead it was a disaster! BEWARE!

We were looking for a venue for our fathers’ celebration of life in June 2022 and had attended an event at the Renaissance and the venue looked good - as a guest. When we met with the event coordinator, she was very inexperienced and did not know the venue well. We asked if there was AV and she said no. We looked up to the ceiling and there was the projector and screen. She said we had to pay for it which is common to have a 3rd party AV company manage that - but she would never have told us that unless we asked. We had two weeks to pull this together and it took over a week to get a contract - we were not going to take their word to send out invitations. When asked what the wine was for the open bar, we were told red and white multiple times. She got on the phone with her manager with us in the room and he said it could be Portuguese. We still never found out because we bought and brought in our own. We were told we would have Grey Goose, Bombay Gin, Corona, Heineken and Stella (among others) at the bar. The bartender arrived and laughed to say you don't have that. But we paid for it. We requested 2 bartenders as the contract says 1 bartender per 100 and we were told we should be fine. We made sure we had two and the second bartender had difficulty opening a beer. The food was brought out at 6:00pm and taken away at 9:00pm. When asked why they took away the food (as speeches just finished and people still needed to eat) we were told they were sued twice so took it away. We order food for 160 and a very large plate of fruit was taken and never brought back. They did bring out some cold pizza. We specifically requested individual bottles of water for the guests and was told they would provide. They put large bottles of water on the tables and said they did not have individual bottles, but some came out at the end of the night. We asked for the carpets to be vacuumed because you could see debris from the event before and it was not done - I offered to do it myself. The communication between groups there was terrible. When we asked simple questions, the answers were never known. The guests would not have known what went on behind the curtain to execute this event, but I would caution you to book an event here. You do not get what you were promised or what you paid for.
