If you’re looking for a wedding that defines city chic, then look no further than Natasia and James’ big beautiful day. Planned by the bride with the help of day-of coordinator Extra Events, the couple’s wedding had VIP stamped on it from start to finish. The stylish Canoe Restaurant & Bar offered the perfect modern look while luxe details and bold florals emanated an all-inclusive vibe that truly made their guests feel like they were apart of something special — which they were! It was a memorable night, and thankfully Jessilynn Wong Photography was on hand to snap each precious moment.
The couple’s adorable first look look was captured outside of the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. Their ensuing photo session captured their playful side as well as their love for the city.
From the Groom: Seeing Natasia in her dress with the entire look was just amazing, she looked beautiful! We had a hard time picking a location for our first look as it was forecast to rain on our wedding day. We settled on the Fairmont, and we absolutely love how the photos turned out!
The couple’s intimate ceremony juxtaposed timeless romance, thanks to the rustic archway and lush pink florals, with a modern chic space. The result? Stunning.
From the Bride: Seeing James’ face when I was walking down the aisle with my parents on either side of me was my favorite part. I had always dreamed of this moment as a little girl and it was just the greatest moment. Also, it was the first time I got to see the ceremony room. The florals were stunning, everyone was seated and my heart was just full of joy. It was wonderful to see my vision pulled together, and amazing to see my husband-to-be under the Chuppah waiting for me to say I do!
The couple’s reception infused a cozy feel with the coolness factor.
From the Bride: We did not have a wedding theme in mind but I would call our wedding magical, to say the least! My mother spent the better half of a year collecting and creating things for our welcome table. I let her run with her own creative vision after seeing our venue. Our venue had primarily earth tones with a gorgeous view. I knew our decor would need a punch of colour to pop in the room against the earth tones. I struggled to pick colours and it was after we chose our bridesmaids dresses that my colour vision came together!
A pretty palette of metallics and pinks were weaved throughout the evening, enhanced by the gorgeous florals from Mother's Garden Floral Design. Simple yet timeless tablescapes along with personal details made for a subtly sophisticated evening. Later, the tunes of DJ Rich Sweet got everyone to their feet.
