My original baker dropped out on me 2.5 months before our wedding. I found Olivia online and was impressed with her vast array of wedding cake designs as well as her pricing structure (which is listed right on her site). I contacted her and she immediately took us on. Although we were purchasing one of her pre-designed cakes, she met with us to discuss colours to ensure the cake matched our reception colours...she even changed the flower colours to mirror the calla lilies we were using!The pice de rsistance was the actual cake...to be honest, I wasn't expecting much as I had heard such horror stories from others about the flavour & texture of their wedding cakes...especially when covered in fondant. Well...I was completely blown away...we had 2 different flavours (lemon & chocolate truffle) and they were fabulous! Both were moist and flavourful...and the fondant was so thin, that not only was it edible, but it tasted almost like marshmallow fluff. I had the venue pack up the extra pieces that had already been cut and my husband & I ate them for dessert for the next week. I have already told him that we are going back to Olivia for ANY other cake-needing event in our future!!!
