Even the sub -30\u00b0 weather couldn’t keep engaged couples away from this year’s Estates of Sunnybrook<\/a>\u00a0wedding open house. Hundreds braved the weather and were rewarded for their efforts, gaining a sneak peak preview\u00a0of 2019 Instagram-worthy wedding inspiration courtesy some of the finest vendors in the city! Couples were also treated to a constant flow of mouth-watering passed canapes\u00a0and delicious\u00a0food stations prepared by the impeccable culinary team at the venue. Samantha Ong Photography<\/a> captures all the lovely details while we begin the tour.<\/p>

We begin our tour in the fabulous Vaughan Estate: one of three historical properties on the grounds, and host to two of the largest onsite ballrooms. Entering the charming main foyer, guests are immediately welcomed by the vocal talents of pianist Ken Delos Santos<\/a>. Starting out in the Main Ballroom, the super-talented folks at Fabulous Occasions<\/a>\u00a0and Wild Theory Floral and Event Design<\/a> teamed up to create a classy, elegant reception vignette filled with lush blooms and greenery.<\/p>

The amazingly talented team at Patricia's Cake Creations<\/a> were onsite to showcase their stunning creations. I also grabbed a delicious mini-cupcake for good measure!<\/p>

Let’s head downstairs to the Courtyard Ballroom, where Brent Miller LIVE<\/a>‘s upbeat renditions fill the cocktail area with a fantastic energy! Fete Floral & Events<\/a> had not one, but four different styles of tablescapes for couples to check out. Each tablescape has its own unique personality and stunning details: from the unique, textured table linens to charger plates and centerpieces. My personal favourite is the head table flowers, which has various shades of coral flowers. In case you didn’t know, coral is the 2019 pantone colour of the year, so you’ll definitely find a lot of decor featuring this shade among various wedding trends.<\/p>

Next stop was\u00a0to head upstairs to the Academy of Medicine, where Zoe and her talented team Secrets Floral Collection<\/a> designed an absolutely stunning ceremony for the modern bride: four asymmetrical copper floral arches with pampas grass lining the aisles. It felt so romantic to walk through all of these beautiful floral arches while our friends at Wellington Music<\/a> completed the elegant atmosphere with soft, romantic live music.<\/p>

The Valleyanna Room also looked fantastic thanks to the good folks at Something Blue Weddings & Events<\/a>\u00a0and Floral Werx<\/a>, who also used pampas grass to create a completely different look, using a circular arch. The sweet serenading guitar of Dunstan Morey Guitarist<\/a> rounded out the vibe perfectly as guests envisioned walking down the aisle.<\/p>

Our next stop on tour is the magnificently-charming Coach House. Perfect for intimate weddings or bridal showers, the Sweet Bee Tea Party<\/a> team styled all the tabletops for this room. With full creative freedom, each table has its own theme with heavily stylized tabletop details: from floral napkins and vintage mismatched glassware, to napkin rings and ornate teacups and saucers, these tablescapes definitely stood out to me.\u00a0The hand-painted blue & white print plates remind me of European tile-work – a lovely way to incorporate that\u00a0“something blue” tradition to your wedding.<\/p>

Our last stop was the always enchanting McLean House. Alisa Gayle Piano<\/a> enchanted guests, with her\u00a0classical performances. The perfect touch as one entered the Conservatory. Flora and her team at Fleur Weddings<\/a>\u00a0crafted two stunningly contrasting table designs, showcasing colour palettes for both summer and winter weddings: the vibrant pink and white tablescape\u00a0is perfect for a romantic summer wedding, and jeweled tone tablescape for fall and winter. As per protocol, I of course had to stop by The Cocoa Cakery<\/a> booth to sample one of their cupcakes and sugar cookies. With so many options to choose from, I couldn’t help but sample the whole lot!<\/p>

Our next stop was the Bayview Room: in my opinion, one of the most beautiful indoor spaces at the Estates of Sunnybrook<\/em> property. The arched windows flood the space with natural light. Simply Perfect<\/a> and Rosehill Blooms<\/a> created a gorgeous ceremony setup. Pink and coral hues were used throughout in the floral arrangement and that rose gold flatware went perfectly with the flowers. The guitar and flute duo from Ambiance Flute & Guitar Duo<\/a> was also a welcome touch.<\/p>

Of course, each property has its fair share of glorious food stations and passed canapes for guests to savour. I can assure you, that no one left hungry at this open house! On a cold winter’s day, the warm, hearty pasta stations were certainly a fan favourite! I also loved their passed crab cake burger with avocado mayo – yum!<\/p>
