They say good things come to those who wait, and Caitlin and Steven’s love story defines exactly that. When a mutual friend decided to set the both of them up, it took Caitlin five long weeks before she responded to Steven’s first text. And a good thing she did. When these two come together, you can just tell how happy they make each other, and their gorgeous wedding at the stunning Credit Valley Golf and Country Club<\/a> encapsulates their love.<\/p>

From the Bride:<\/strong> Steve and I met at a Starbucks. We had mutual friends but had never met. During the Christmas holiday, one mischievous friend, Verity, was speaking to Steve at an ugly Christmas sweater party and decided we would be a perfect match. She gave Steve my number and he texted me. I didn’t respond for more than five weeks – oops. After finally getting around to meeting at Starbucks we clicked right away and decided to spend the whole day together. Steve loved listening to my stories and I thought he was cute. It was perfect! A few weeks later, we went on a date to a live jazz night at the Ripley Aquarium. I kissed Steve as we waited to cross the street and felt butterflies for the first time. I knew he was the one.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

After the couple shared their first look — a touching moment between the two — they embarked on their stunning photo session, which included the beautifully manicured golf course in the background and the brightly coloured fall trees. The scenery gave it that romance and whimsy feel that the couple were looking for.<\/p>

From the Bride<\/strong>: The first look was the best moment. By the time I got to the wedding venue, I was so stressed and emotional. All I wanted to do was to see Steve. I knew that he was the only one that could make me feel better and that seeing him would put me at ease immediately. I knew then that I was marrying the right person. I walked down the stairs and the minute he looked at me, he cried and I knew he just wants to see me as well. It meant so much to have a moment to get our nerves out and relax before the craziness of the main wedding activities started. I literally felt all the stress leave my body.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

Officiated by Enduring Promises<\/a>, the couple exchanged vows in a dreamy outdoor ceremony that included lush florals and lovely music from Wellington Music<\/a> that included a sweet and loving ambiance.<\/p>

From the Bride<\/strong>: You may kiss the bride – There is no denying how magical those words can be. It is done. You’re married. Happiness overwhelms you and you suddenly forget you’re about to kiss in front of 150 people. I can’t describe how happy I was in the this moment. I was bouncing on the balls of my feet. I had the biggest dumbest grin that I couldn’t contain and I couldn’t get enough of that happiness. I had to pull Steve in for a second kiss and it was the best kiss of my life.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

The couple’s reception was one part glam and one part elegant, which resulted in a stunning celebration that was both magical and personal. Put together by the brilliant minds at I Do Weddings and Decor<\/a>, Caitlin and Steven’s wedding colours consisted of modern pink golds and nude colours with hints of metallic while also keeping it classic with a splash midnight blue. It was important to the couple to incorporate elements of Steven’s Cambodian background, which was evident with their wedding invitations<\/a> as well as their table numbers (English was on one side and in Khmer on another). Each table was decorated with blue linens<\/a> and gold charger plates with their centerpieces consisting of beautiful blush and ivory roses, blue and white anemones, small South-East Asian orchids and olive leaf greenery, all from Coquette Studio Floral Design<\/a>. They even matched their gorgeous four-tier wedding cake from Patricia's Cake Creations<\/a>, as well as their cookie wedding favours, with lotus flowers, resulting in one delectable dessert. Later, they danced the night away to the tunes from Maximum Music<\/a>, and capped off the night with sparklers.<\/p>
