You will also have to decide whether you want to buy, or rent your dress \u2013 and since both options come with their pros and cons, we thought we\u2019d make it easy for you to decide!<\/p>

PRO: It\u2019s yours forever<\/strong><\/p>

Your wedding is a day that you will remember forever \u2013 buying your dress means you get to keep it just as long. This is great if you plan on wearing it again for photos or a vow renewal, or if you\u2019re hoping to pass your dress down to your child or other family member for their wedding.<\/p>

PRO: It will fit like a glove<\/strong><\/p>

Once you\u2019ve bought a dress, it\u2019s yours to do whatever you like with. Since most dresses are made to order, it will be made to your measurements and an alterations specialist will form fit it to your body. You can also shorten it after the fact and wear it again!<\/p>

CON: It can be expensive<\/strong><\/p>

Wedding dresses, especially designer ones, can rack up a big price tag \u2013 and since you\u2019re likely only wearing the dress once \u2013 some brides feel that the expense isn\u2019t worth it.<\/p>

CON: It takes up a lot of room<\/strong><\/p>

We\u2019ve all been there \u2013 standing in front of your closet, wondering if your partner would notice if you stole some of their side. Unfortunately, when you buy your wedding dress, you then have to store it. Depending on the style of dress, this can take up a lot of valuable real estate in your closet.<\/p>

PRO: It\u2019s cost-effective<\/strong><\/p>

While it will still be an expense, renting your dress will deliver a much smaller price tag than if you were to buy one! Since you will only have it for a few days, you won\u2019t need to incur the cost of the whole dress. Plus, most rental boutiques will throw in alterations!<\/p>

With renting, this is even more accessible thanks to the lower price tag and the fact that you won\u2019t have to store multiple dresses in your closet after the fact!
