It’s a new year! If you’ve already started planning your wedding, you already know that the prime dates are hard to come by and there some wedding dates to avoid! If you and your partner are open to a weekday or Sunday wedding<\/a> or a winter wedding<\/a>, you’ll find a whole lot more flexibility (and likely some significant savings to boot!).<\/p>\n

While the prospect of greater flexibility and cost savings are great, you’ll definitely want to keep in mind that the given calendar year is full of long weekends, holidays, big city events and so forth. Perhaps your friends and family would be absolutely thrilled to celebrate your love on New Years Eve or St. Patrick’s Day, but maybe not; if the majority of your nearest and dearest are avid cottage goers, you might want to steer clear of any long weekends; and if your fianc\u00e9’s family is Jewish, you’ll definitely want to avoid saying “I Do” on a High Holiday.<\/p>\n

While you won’t be able to accommodate everyone, the goal is to have the majority of your guest list in attendance, so you’ll definitely want to make sure you know your audience when considering a wedding date.
