When it comes to putting together your guest list, you\u2019ll have to think of which friends and family you\u2019ll be inviting. Are any of your close family members children? Do your close friends have children as well? If there are some kids you\u2019ll be inviting, does that mean you\u2019ll be extending the invite to the kids of other guests as well? Here are some things you need to consider when it comes to inviting kids to your wedding.<\/p>

They can be attention grabbers<\/h2>

One thing to keep in mind about kids is that they love to be the center of attention. Unlike your jealous cousin who is old enough to know she shouldn\u2019t steal the spotlight on your big day \u2013 kids aren\u2019t aware, or at the very least, they don\u2019t care. So, before you invite kids to your wedding, remember that you might be including them in your first dance.<\/p>

They need special accommodations<\/h2>

Kids, while potentially adorable, will need special accommodations. They get bored easily, so you will need to make sure that there are plenty of activities for them to do during dinner. Also, keep in mind that you will need to ensure kids meals are available for any picky eaters.<\/p>

Kids can play an important role in your wedding<\/h2>

If you are already parents, your kids will likely be playing a special role in your big day. If you\u2019re not, but are close with nieces and nephews, or friends’ kids, you may want to have them take part in your ceremony as the ring bearer or flower girl.<\/p>

It can be a case-by-case basis<\/h2>

It may surprise you to learn that a lot of people will enjoy a night away from their kids! So, depending on how well you know the kids, or even how old they are, you can evaluate the invites on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>

Do you know the kids well?<\/h2>

If you have played a special role in the lives of your friend\u2019s kids, then having them at your wedding will be something you will cherish forever. If however, you haven\u2019t spent a lot of time with your friend\u2019s kids, then feel free to leave them off the invite.<\/p>
