We went on a rainy Saturday so it was pretty busy with families and strollers. Most of the areas and aquariums are big enough that it doesn't get too crowded though. We were there for a few hours and loved taking our time and watching all the fish. My husband takes photos as a hobby and got some beautiful shots. It is a bit pricey normally but we were able to get discounted tickets which made it more reasonable. We also brought lunch and snacks in our backpack which helped saved money as well.
I visited Ripley's Aquarium of Canada around Christmas while a small orchestra was playing. It was really nice to walk around fishes with the sound of classic tune. It felt really nice, I'm hoping there are more of this special event. The aquarium were stunning especially the tunnel and the jellyfish section. There is also an area where you get the chance of touching some friendly fish, and it's such an unique experience. Definitely come back if there is going to be more classical concerts within the venue.
Great place for kids. Lots to check out and some really well thought out enclosures. Its nice how interactivity there is. We had a blast and I think were due to head back soon, its been a while. It can be a bit pricey but theres usually discounts if you know where to look. We too the train in from Oshawa to avoid parking, worked out great and added to the fun of the day. Fairly educational for all ages and well kept and maintained. A bit dark to navigate if you have issues with vision bit I imagine its dark for the marine lifes comfort and probably helps with viewing the enclosures. Must check out this place if you havent been to an aquarium before.
A great place for kids. Friendly and helpful staffs .I also appreciate this place because there are many small science / exploration games for the kids. There are many small but useful games like this. It is very good.Children get lots of information about fish and marine animals. They are seen and touched again. And they really like that.
There was a lot of hype about the Aquarium and was hoping that it did not disappoint. I have only been here once, and enjoyed the experience. I look forward to coming back.I am not a fan of crowds or children, so I decided to come on a Friday evening. One Friday a month they will through an event called "Jazz at the Aquarium". While children are allowed, there certainly aren't as many. You can enjoy a glass of wine or beer and walk around to see the exhibits. Some of my favourite exhibits were the polka dot stingrays (don't remember their scientific name), the moving floor tunnel and the coloured jellyfish tanks.Their gift shop has some neat things. But like most gift shops, unfortunately, the prices are absurd.I've kept an eye on their website for other events and have noticed some interesting ones that I think would be enjoyable such as yoga, sleepovers and the Queer night at the Aquarium. I'm a big fan of the unique events, because I find that those will draw me in more than just going to the Aquarium a bunch of times to exhibits I've already seen.

We've been one of the preferred caterers at Ripley's Aquarium since it opened it's doors and it's been a fantastic experience working with Andrew and the venue. Our clients are always thrilled for the opportunity to hold an event at such a unique event space. No need for décor as the venue is the attraction! A real gem and a great addition to the wonderful venues Toronto has to offer.
