Whether corporate or individual, on a performance day or a "dark" day, we offer a variety of different spaces and set-ups to meet your event objectives. From large corporate gatherings inclusive of stage presentations and sit-down dinners to more intimate entertaining during one of our many great shows; from 20 people to over 3,000, the Sony Centre is capable of hosting your ideal function. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, the Sony Centre is an integral part of this city's cultural sector, making it an exciting spot to host your colleagues, co-workers, family and friends. Originally known as the O'Keefe Centre and then later as the Hummingbird Centre, the Sony Centre is a venue that will exceed your guests' expectations. The fifty-year old building's grandeur has recently been restored to ensure that it is a unique option for clients in today's competitive event planning sector. As partofthe renovations, Sony installed 99 flat panel monitors within the facility, including a 21-screen video wall as a focal point in the Main Lobby and outdoor video marquee panels. These flat panels are made available to you, at no extra charge, so you can custom-tailor the venue into your own personalized event space

Staff are friendly and helpful, floor at a good angle so you can see stage no matter how far back you're seated. No GA and staff are strict about staying out of the aisles; fine if you're staying seated for the whole show but sucks for dancing.

The venue seems like it would be a great space, but there was no staff to explain their seating system, leading to large crowds of people meandering the theatre trying to figure out where to go. The security staff are beyond rude, and apparently the theatre finds water to be dangerous contraband that requires attendees to dump it. I had been planning on buying a drink or two until security gave us a non-ending hassle at the door, and once we had already aquesed (which was immediately after being asked), made snide comments about how we shouldn't have been surprised. The men's bathroom is a whole three stalls with an off brand Dyson knock-off that just flat out does not function.Nice building though, so they get a star for that.

Fabulous venue. I love the amount of space and the comfy seats in this theatre. I came here for several conferences and performances and never had a bad time (apart from the audience). There's so much space and lots of areas to browse around. Sound and visual is superb here!

I saw one of the Just For Laughs performances at the Sony Centre. Absolutely hilarious.Stage is big, and the staff were nice. The only gripe I had was the liquor line. It took a bit of time to get drinks, esspecially with the length of the line up. Would definitely recommend, however make sure you get your drinks early so you don't miss the show!
