I had booked this location for a video shoot, and when I first saw it in person the photos don't do it justice. I fell in love with the venue, it's loft style open space, that is great for any occasion, video shoots, photo shoots, birthdays, events, weddings, basically everything. Kristin, the owner is amazing and so helpful! She is soo personable and Is always there when you need something. I highly recommend this place to everyone!Thank you Kristen, you're awesome.Chris

Wow, this space is remarkable! An open loft-style, retro, wood-and-steel event space in the eclectic Riverside neighbourhood of Queen East, Toronto.

We hosted our wedding (both ceremony and reception) at the Jam Factory this March and absolutely loved the staff! Shannon and the other event coordinators we attentive, quick to respond to inquiries, and extremely helpful. The physical space was absolutely beautiful, and required very little decor to make it wedding-ready. The only wrench in the day was that their expected upstairs bathroom renovations weren't done in time for our big day, but I haven't taken any stars away due to Jam Factory's incredible response to that hiccup. They offered to reimburse us partially for our venue fee, as well as offering up the downstairs coffee shop (where bathrooms were located) as a quiet spillover space for guests to use from 6pm onward. I could rave forever about their staff and the space, but I'll let the photos and stars speak for themselves. This is a great, well-managed space!

I had a very negative and bizarre experience with trying to book a party at The Jam Factory.I had visited the site and talked with Shannon about a Halloween party, 7 months in advance. We met and had a tour, late March 2018. The party is for late October 2018. She indicated that I was very early and that the month was wide open.In fact, for the last 3 Halloween parties my company has had, at different locations, we booked the venues in late July, with no issues. I too, thought I was quite early and I was happy to be early. After we met, Shannon said she would send the quote the next day but it took her four days. "Whatever", I thought.I mentioned to her that I was 99% sure about the date late in October for my company's Halloween party. I also told her that I wanted to wait until the second week of April to sign the contract and pay the deposit because my business had to settle on a bunch of bills which happened to be coming due the first week of April. She agreed, in writing, and we decided to wait just a week. Unfortunately, in that week, Shannon decided to rent the space to another business and not inform me that she was doing this. When I told her that I was shocked and disappointed that she would give away a space which we had already agreed on, she sent a rather rude reply back, in which she stated that October was in fact their busiest month and that she doesn't hold spaces for more than a week. The reality is, that if she had told me that my date, 7 months in advance, was hotly contested, I would have signed the contract and given the deposit earlier, regardless. All I can say is that I found The Jam Factory very unprofessional and I don't recommend it.
