Getting “day-of coordinators” was a last minute decision for my husband and I. It wasn’t until our detailed décor meetings, when Carla roughly went through a lot of the “day of” details that we began to think “how on earth are we going to be able to coordinate all of these details the day of?” It quickly became clear that hiring the Trade Sensation planning team was a must. In the weeks leading up to the wedding the team sent various checklists to ensure we were on track and had everything done 3 months, 1 month and weeks before the wedding. We then met with Carla to prepare our “day-of” schedule. There were so many things going on that day from morning until night; so many people involved and so many details to be reminded of and recorded. Carla, who we learned is the “Queen of all Wedding things”, didn’t miss a thing. Being extremely organized myself, I thought I had already thought of everything, but Carla brought up important details and considerations that I totally hadn’t thought of yet. Once the schedule was complete they took the liberty of ensuring all of my other vendors were aware of timing and requirements on the day of. And best of all, they told the vendors not to come to me the day of if they had any questions or issues, but to consult the planners. Such a relief! One less thing for me to worry about on my special day. But it wasn’t until I arrived at my venue pre-ceremony and reception the day of my wedding that I truly realized how amazing Debbie, Justin and the team of planners actually were.

From the moment I arrived until the moment they left, I literally didn’t have to think of, worry about or consider even the smallest detail. Debbie and her team’s knowledge and skillset around executing a wedding was far beyond anything I expected or anything I could have hoped for. The reception lobby, main hall and ceremony had been set up to perfection; she had already, with warm welcomes, met my mom, grandma and some of our other close relatives who were participating in the ceremony and ensured they had received the boutonnières/corsages that were waiting for them. My grandma told me the next day that Justin made her feel like a queen. To call them detail-oriented is an understatement. My husband had a bad cold – “can I go get you some cold medicine from the store?” My young flower girl and ring bearer needed some practice and confidence for the walk out dance they were about to do – Justin knew the moves and personally practiced with them. There were random children that showed up that I hadn’t had place settings for – “got it covered; Nothing to worry about.” I needed gum – “here in my pocket whenever you need it.” Something I appreciated most was that Debbie had thought to confirm our ceremony entrance songs with our DJ (something I hadn’t mentioned or thought of), and thank goodness she did. Our DJ said “we hadn’t provided them” (which wasn’t the case) and Debbie quickly solved another issue that could have, in my eyes, been disastrous. I could go on and on providing reasons why having them there made my wedding the best day of life. The next day, running through everything that took place, I without a doubt felt nothing but an undying appreciation for what Debbie and team did for us. My wedding would not have been the same, or anywhere near amazing as it was, without them. Thank you so much guys for your kindness, care, positive attitudes and amazing talent. I will never forget it for the rest of my life!

As it relates to Décor: I definitely had vague ideas about what I wanted my décor to look like. They were mostly just around a colour scheme and “look and feel” rather than specifics. Being my first wedding, I wasn’t exactly sure what was possible, what could be done, what I could pick, especially within my budget. But when I met with Carla for the décor meetings she really showed that she was the professional. She controlled the conversation and proposed so many good ideas and much advice on how I could decorate within my budget – exactly what you always hope for from a “professional” but definitely not always what you get. I left the meeting feeling more excited than ever. Although, I had accepted that my dreams of exquisite, stunning, perfect décor were not realistic, that I wasn’t having the “royal wedding,” I was confident that the décor would end up looking “nice enough.” Fast forward to the day of my wedding. Walking into my ceremony room, brought immediate tears to my eyes. It was honestly the most perfect and beautiful ceremony I had ever seen. They had taken the liberty of utilizing my guest table centerpieces to line the aisle, something I hadn’t even asked for, but an opportunity they saw and to improve the look – that’s going the extra mile. I was having a Christian/Persian combination ceremony which involved a traditional Persian soffreh table. Aside from the fact that Carla interviewed and handpicked our soffreh designer, she donated a lot of her own décor pieces that she knew I would love and fit my theme. Overall Carla, Anvy and team managed to blend the two traditions amazingly. Once the ceremony was over and the room was “flipped” I was taken in to see the final set up/design of my reception room – more tears! Each guest table was so beautifully put together – from the chic and sparkly silver sequin runners to the elegant centerpiece stands and candelabras. Our sweetheart table was even more beautiful. I am so thankful to the Trade Sensation Décor team for what they did to that room. They even went the extra mile to decorate the podium! The overall design and impeccable attention to every detail, when all was said and done, actually made me feel like I did have a “royal wedding.” Even two weeks later we continue to be bombarded with compliments from our guests about how stunning it was. “The best wedding I’ve ever been to” is the one we’ve heard the most – music to my ears and all thanks to hard work and care that Trade Sensation put into our wedding. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. It was better than I ever imagined or expected. It was truly the best day of our lives. THANK YOU!

My husband and I first saw Trade Sensation's work at a family member's wedding, and fell in love with all of their decor. We chose Trade Sensation's decor and day-of coordinator services for our September 16 2017 wedding. From our very first meeting, we knew we would be in good hands.

Their team helped pull together the most fabulous decor that took our reception venue, the Eglinton Grand, to a whole other level! Carla helped make our vision for a Gatsby-inspired wedding a reality, and knew exactly what we were looking for. Our guests are still raving about how elegant everything looked.

When I witnessed trade sensations in action at a friend’s wedding, I knew I HAD to have them for ours. This was an easy decision. When you are planning your wedding, the amount of vendors you have to hire is intense and can get VERY overwhelming. I knew hiring décor would be the most intense. Boy was I wrong. From the initial appointment, to every other appointment in between, Trade sensations went from working with my decor vendor, to feeling like I was planning our wedding with my best friends. Literally – a glass of wine and a tray of cupcakes, cookies and donuts… it was the best!
The amount of selections, ideas, themes and possibilities are endless. Walking into their studio was like walking into Pinterest but in reality. Every inch of this process has been so fun. Carla, Anvy, and Debbie are my fairy godmothers. Every vision I had and every crazy idea that popped in my head these three women were right there helping me every step of the way. I can’t begin to explain how smooth every decision was and how easy it was for me to trust them with one of the most important days of my life. Let’s not forget Justin – WOW! He is hands down one of my favorite humans and my biggest fan. Justin is a firecracker. His smile, humor, energy and love for weddings is so contagious.
I cannot wait to plan every future event with this amazing team. And for all future brides, don’t underestimate the need for a day of coordinator/wedding planner. Even if you think you are the most organized bride who has everything down pat, believe me, they will surprise you with things that didn’t even cross your mind.
