Enduring promises was recommended by our venue. We received a quick reply and after reading profiles we felt that Mike Van Slingerland fit our vibe the best. Mike arranged a video call soon after and we hit off right away. He very thorough in his discussion about his role as an officiant, what to expect the day of, and how the process would work with different options. So much so that he answered every question on our big list without us even asking. The online system provided nice options for different parts of the ceremony, and Mike was flexible with us ordering things as we wished. He had extra copies of vows and all important info for the day of, made signing a whole bunch of documents easy to manage, and made sure we had what we needed at the end of the day. He checked in with us prior to the ceremony to see if there were any changes and to give us a quick run through. Mike was loud and made sure everyone could hear him, added good humour, and most importantly made sure he stepped aside while we read our vows and for the first kiss. We hired Rob Kropf for our ceremony, and he was amazing. We had a super simple and small ceremony in the back yard, only immediate family present. He was so great with schedule changes and moving meetings around to accommodate us as we have a young baby. There was no pressure, all our questions got answered, and he helped the day be less stressful by being kind and patient and funny.
