What An Impressive Museum!

This museum represents the Historical History for the City Of Markham.

I had a very detailed and impressive tour given to ME by Cathy Molly, Director of the Markham Museum.

She showed me the various rooms and eventually took me outdoors to further explain the other rooms such as where they make apple cider, do wood carvings, organic gardening, pottery, etc.

In Addition: I also got to meet with Shane who is a professional Wood Carver and Instructor and he gave ME a talk as well about his work on a separate Youtube Video that we made with his Grade 12 Students that were present.

I want to personally Thank Cathy Molloy, Director of the Markham Museum for the time that she took out of her day to give ME a tour and show ME around as well as Shane , the Wood Carving Instructor back on Monday, July 9, 2018.

We had our wedding reception in the Transportation Hall in early September. The museum was amazing from start to finish--from when we first contacted the event coordinator to the last-minute day-of details! It was a perfect venue for us to truly create our own vision for what we wanted the space to look like and what kind of atmosphere we wanted to create (this was very important for us). the museum also lets guests to move seamlessly between being indoors and outdoors, which was an added bonus. And the grounds around the venue offers breathtaking opportunities for photos (which we definitely took advantage of). What made the planning process so enjoyable was working with the sales/events coordinator. She was so accommodating and really went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us bring our vision to life. We know our positive experience was part and parcel due to her ability to understand client needs and we are so grateful to have worked with someone who was so so helpful, understanding, organized, and thoughtful.

The site itself is beautiful and allowed us so much creativity and imagination to truly make it our own. We chose to also do engagement photos at this site, and use them for our wedding guest book - they were gorgeous photos and entirely different from the wedding photos as the grounds are quite expansive, with beauty and charm throughout. We planned our wedding from Edmonton, AB. The site coordinator and her team went beyond our expectations for planning and coordinating our day. Every email was answered - and I had many! - with patience and a genuine understanding of how much this event meant to us. Leading up to, and on the day, everything was well coordinated throughout, including last minute deliveries, alternative plans for rain (that never happened but was very comforting to have a plan for!), and accommodations for accessibility issues.

From start to finish markham museum was unbelievable. The coordinators were so accommodating and so quick to respond to any concerns or questions I had. They were so helpful in the planning process it made my life so much easier. We had a lot of rain the day before our wedding so our tent was useless and muddy, the staff stayed late and came early
to ensure all of our equipment was moved into another area! It was so heart warming the way that they reassured us everything would be fine. Then the venue itself, gorgeous!!!! The grounds are immaculate and our guests loved feeling like they were in another world. Unbelievable all around

We got married at the Markham Museum in June 2016. We really liked the outdoor setting for the ceremony, and the fact that there was a very easy indoor back-up in case of rain. The grounds are very nice and our guests enjoyed exploring them throughout the evening, and we have a great range of wedding photos. We also really liked having access to the venue on Friday and Sunday, this made our wedding date much, much less stressful. Michelle was very helpful at every point in the process, and we really appreciated how the Markham Museum never said no to our requests but instead tried to help us make our vision a reality. Recommend having a food truck pull right up to the Transportation Hall for a late night snack!

The Markham Museum hosted our weddng ceremony at the outside gazebo in early October 2016. The team, including Michelle, was extremely helpful and friendly in ensuring the ceremony ran smoothly and stress free. We are also especially thankful for the team's hard work in helping us clean up all those petals scattered on the aisle after the ceremony. There are also beuatiful exhibits outside for taking photos. We highly recommend this venue to host your wedding ceremony.
