Built in 1896 as a market and dance hall, 19 on the Park is far more than meets the eye! With a rich history and intimate design, the venue offers a warm and charming event space in the heart of Stouffville. In addition to concerts, live theatre shows, and fundraisers, this unique space is perfect for and weddings and private events for up to 157 seated, and 200 cocktail-style. You can even rent the space outside for a wedding ceremony, a food truck, or just about anything else! A big shout out to Valeria Mitsubata Photography for capturing all the highlights of the event!
As soon as we arrived, we made our way to the Great Hall where most people were already congregated – the evening was abuzz with music, everyone was mingling, and enjoying delectable hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer.
Wine was provided by Willow Springs Winery (hello, ice wine!), and Muddy York Brewing Co. who brought some of their best-selling beers as well as a selection of non-alcoholic drinks at the bar – there was something for everyone at this intimate spring soirée!
Below, we have a view from the 2nd floor AV/DJ station, where Most Excellent Productions & the DJ team from Track Avenue created their lighting and music magic – helping lend some energy and ambiance for the event. For a versatile event space like this, you can reimagine this blank canvas to just about any configuration of your choosing. Gervais Party & Tent Rentals did an impressive job transforming the space with their modern lounge furniture and versatile cocktail areas – I also loved how they showcased a variety of seating options.
No party is complete without a photo booth snap! Thanks to our friends at LOL Photo Booth for setting up this sleek selfie station.
And of course, we have to talk about the food! JP Fine Foods brought both the savoury as well as the sweet. A favourite of the evening was definitely their Pulled Brisket Slider (24 hour slow cooked brisket with a cabbage slaw, and smoked garlic aioli) and their Gazpacho Shooter (celery, tomato, onion, herbs, and basil oil). For all you dessert fans out there, we enjoyed both the Key Lime Tart and Chocolate Mousse-layered Shooters on your behalf – you’re welcome!
We also stopped by the Hawley Crescent Catering station for a sampling of delicious hors d’oeuvres including Curried Chicken Mousse on Crispy Naan, Pear and Brie Crostini, Watermelon Feta Salad, and Olive Tapenade Flatbread. It was all very flavourful and totally delicious. I loved the pear and brie combination and of course, one can never go wrong with watermelon anything.
Christina Cooks Catering Company was on hand with a fantastic grazing platter. It was great getting to know her story and chatting about all the other delicious menu items she offers, including soup and pasta in a jar, stone baked pizza, and so much more!
When you’re having such a great time, you never really want the evening to end! Alas, after a few more drinks and nibs, and it was time for us to say goodbye to all the wonderful people we got to meet, including the rental and event coordinators from the venue. Congrats to all the vendors involved in making this event happen and we cannot wait to work with you at upcoming events and celebrations!
