I was SUPER apprehensive when I booked Shobana for my wedding. Up to that point, I had very disappointing experiences with MUAH artist, and I became convinced that it was me - that I just wasn’t someone that could look good in makeup. Shobana changed ALL that. Part of my apprehension was due to the fact that I didn’t do a trial, and I booked her for a touch-up as well! Am I ever SO glad that I did. I absolutely LOVED my makeup and hair. I felt like myself and confident - which was something I never felt before with professional MUAH. Beyond Shobana’s skills, which are OUT OF THIS WORLD, it was her personality that I loved the most. It felt like we were old friends, and I loved every bit of it. Shobana was also very personable and flexible; she allowed me to be candid about what I liked and didn’t like. She was never annoyed or in a rush to leave; she tried her best to make everything JUST PERFECT. Seeing her again at the reception was just the cherry on top! ❤️ I can’t recommend her enough!

I met Shobana in 2011 when she did my makeup for a show. From that moment, I knew whenever I got married I NEEDED her to do my makeup. The way she makes you feel gorgeous but also like yourself is what made me fall in love with her work! Throughout the years I recommended her to many friends, who all ended up using her and they couldn’t rave about her more. Fast forward to when I got engaged in 2017, the first text I sent afternoon confirming my wedding date was to Shobana, to ensure she was available to glam me up! We worked together to ensure my look complimented my wedding dress and the outfit change I would later make at the reception. The morning of the wedding she was just as excited as me for the big day and made sure I was calm throughout the entire process, I didn’t want to see the look until the end and it was everything I had envisioned! She even made sure my mom was happy with her makeup (which was done by another company). Looking back on pictures, I couldn’t be happier with my choice and would choose Amplified Soul all over again!

I got married in September and Shobana did my hair and makeup for the mendhi, wedding and reception. In short, I LOVED how I looked and importantly, how I felt. Shobana is an incredibly talented artist, and her passion to help bring out the best in others, through MUAH as well as her compassionate ear, is obvious and authentic. She has been a bride herself so knows exactly what the overall experience is like. And she is open and honest, and puts her brides first (even with family commitments of her own, she made sure to accommodate my touch up before the reception). She was real about the need for proper skincare as the basis for a great look, and provided great tips and tricks. I also did a trial which is HIGHLY recommended to work through looks and forge a relationship with the person who has such a big part in making the day. Thanks Shobana! I highly recommend Amplified Soul :)

I recently got married over the thanksgiving long weekend and Shobana was an amazing artist to work with - I was incredibly happy with my final look! Shobana had done my elder sisters MUAH at her wedding 10 years ago, just when she had first started her business. It was a pleasure to still see the same genuine and kind personality in Shobana many years later. Like most indian weddings, our events lasted a whole week and Shobana did my final day for my reception. I was so exhausted and all over the place by that day but Shobana surprised me in the morning with coffee and timbits which literally made my day! Usually I feel like falling asleep when someone is doing my hair and make up but with Shobana, it was like hanging out with an old friend! I would definitely recommend Amplified Soul to any bride - Shobana ensures that she understands her clients needs before she starts her work and that is a rare find. Thanks Shobana!!
