Twist Gallery continues to be one of my favourite venues to recommend to couples looking for something different. It’s the perfect option for those looking to host up to 140 guests while still maintaining an intimate, connected atmosphere. The exposed brick, warm wood floors, and open-concept layout create a space that feels expansive without ever feeling overwhelming, which is a rare balance in the city.
This year’s Open House beautifully showcased just how seamlessly the gallery can transform from ceremony to celebration with the right creative team in place. A special thank you to Gillian Foster for photographing the event for this feature and so beautifully capturing the essence of the day.
The reception space design came to life with tablescapes by Poppin Petals, whose florals added texture and warmth to the room. With four different ideas side by side, it sure showed the range these artists have! For the ceremony setting, May Flowers styled a romantic altar installation that softened the gallery’s modern edges, including a perfect photo op with bridal florals included!
If you are looking for something new and interactive for your cocktail hour or late night activation, For Your Delight creates live watercolour illustrations, a charming and personal touch that couples loved. Exquisite Things also offered on-the-spot engraved keychains, adding an interactive and customizable element to the experience.
DJ Floh Back Productions kept the energy lively throughout with spinning beats while Ellen Daly - Violinist accompaniment added an elegant, emotional touch.
Of course, we have to talk about the food! The talented team at JP Fine Foods went all-out showcasing a slew of delicious options for eager couples to enjoy. I am still drooling over their Dubai chocolate brownie!
I next made my way to a beautifully presented spread from Encore Catering featuring, my favourite, a fresh prosciutto and cantaloupe salad. They even gifted guests with a mini wedding cake to take home with them!
Fiona McKnight Cakes Cakes sweetened the afternoon with delicious cake samples and some take away custom print cookies.
Altogether, the Open House was a true reflection of what’s possible inside Twist Gallery; thoughtful design, exceptional vendors, and an atmosphere that felt both elevated and inviting. Here’s to an exciting (and very busy!) wedding season ahead!

The event was fantastic and such a pleasure to be part of! Congratulations to Twist on hosting another incredible open house.
We’re excited to connect with the amazing couples who are ready to begin planning their weddings — what a special season ahead.
And yes… the Dubai chocolate brownies are absolutely killer — and now officially an option in our wedding menu packages for couples who want to treat their guests to something unforgettable.
