I had an okay experience with Dawna Boot for my bridal hair and makeup. The two ladies who did my hair and makeup were very nice and friendly. I was disappointed with the extra cost added to my bill one month before the wedding without any notice or explanation. They charged me for the travel costs of the hair and makeup artists. This was an extra $40 that I was not expecting to pay. It was not mentioned anywhere on my contract!! It seems odd to advertise that you are in Toronto and then add a travel fee on my bill when I am located in Toronto. On top of this, I had shared inspiration images with Dawna prior to my wedding day and my artists had NEVER seen them. I booked them a year in advance and sent my Inspiration images well in advance as well. They were not prepared so I felt as though they were not able to get me as close to the images as I would have liked.
