Authentic Italian Restaurant in Thornhilll

In 1996 La Vecchia restaurant opened its doors in the fashionable Yonge and Eglinton district. Since then, it has been at the forefront of traditional Italian culinary experiences in Toronto. Our classic, time honoured recipes combined with genuine Italian ambiance allow our guests to experience Italy without leaving Toronto.

In 2018, La Vecchia restaurant was granted the prestigious Ospitalita Italiana seal of excellence, which is a testament to our dedication to Italian gastronomic culture.

Most recently we welcomed the addition of our second location, La Vecchia on the Lake. Located along the shores of Lake Ontario, this venue brings a vibrant and modern atmosphere to our traditional approach to Italian dining.

We are thrilled to now introduce you to La Vecchia Nord. This stunning venue boasts a beautiful bar, elegant and modern decor and event spaces for 20 - 100 guests.

For 30-years La Vecchia restaurant continues to be at the forefront of Italian hospitality in Toronto. Our three unique locations offer different experiences while respecting the classic recipes delivered by our Chefs.

When we were looking for a place to gather family and friends the event staff at La Vecchia Thornhill were just what we ordered. They were immensely flexible and responsive to our (ever changing) needs. I would highly recommend holding an intimate gathering there. Kate was incredibly accommodating and Bri and Jack were perfect servers. We were very pleased. Highly recommend.

We recently hosted a bridal shower at La Vecchia through Event Source, and we couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience! From the very beginning, Kate, the event manager, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was organized, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, making sure every detail came together perfectly. She made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free, and her guidance helped us create such a beautiful and memorable celebration.

The food was fabulous, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed everything. Everyone had such a wonderful time, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special celebration. The decor of the restaurant is also amazing, it created such a beautiful and elegant setting for the bridal shower.

We are so grateful to Kate and the entire La Vecchia team for helping make the day so special. It was everything we hoped for and more, and we would highly recommend La Vecchia for anyone planning a special event!

Using the private room for a presentation dinner was highly successful. The room was beautiful and the staff were very attentive in managing all details including IT. They were super accommodating and always available to assist. This is an excellent venue in a great location.
