I honestly would give Leena zero stars if that were an option.

My experience with this makeup artist was an absolute nightmare, particularly considering this was for my WEDDING.

Communication was consistently terrible. Responses would take an unreasonable amount of time, and I was left constantly wondering what was happening with my own wedding booking. Leena also moved to Dubai without properly communicating this to her clients, leaving me to try to figure out when she would even be returning to Toronto.

The biggest issue was the makeup trial. For a BRIDE, a makeup trial is incredibly important. Instead, I wasn’t offered a reasonable opportunity to have my trial until essentially the week of my wedding. At that point, what was I supposed to do if I didn’t like the makeup? There was barely any time left to make changes, let alone find another artist.

The amount of unnecessary stress this caused me during an already stressful time was completely unacceptable.

I ultimately emailed Leena requesting a refund of my deposit because I never received the trial I had expected and the entire booking experience had become a complete disaster.

She ignored me.

No response. No explanation. Nothing.

I find this incredibly unprofessional. When someone is trusting you with their appearance on one of the most important days of their life, the absolute bare minimum is communication, reliability, and professionalism.

If you are getting married in Toronto — or anywhere, for that matter — I personally would NOT recommend booking this makeup artist. My experience left me feeling stressed, ignored, and completely unsupported as a bride.

There are so many talented makeup artists who will actually communicate with their clients and make them feel confident and taken care of. Unfortunately, Leena was not that experience for me.

Save yourself the stress and book someone who actually values their clients.

She made me uncomfortable as my makeup artist! I would not recommend. Make up was peeling and she blamed it on my skin texture, horrendous to deal with on my wedding day! If you want peace of mind, do not hire her

She was unprofessional from the start. She made unprofessional and prejudiced comments, especially about people of different backgrounds and beliefs. I felt so uncomfortable during my time while in her chair and would never use her again.

She was cold and lowered my mood during my wedding morning. She kept saying she was "tired" So unprofessional. Although she is skilled, she is not warm or thoughtful.

I hired them for my wedding and although Leena was amazing and so incredibly kind, she was unable to do my wedding day due to some unforeseen circumstances. Her hair girl still came and she was an absolute nightmare. She ran late and blamed us, she had a lot of attitude and ruined the entire vibe. She didn’t listen about what I wanted with my hair and kept screaming. I wanted to tell her to leave while I was there. She was booked for 4 people, did three and they didn’t even return the money back for the 4th. I texted Leena about my experience and never heard back from her at all. The customer service was terrible, irrespective of the fact that I was mega kind and she was texting me the day before. I 100% do not recommend as your experience can go either way.
