The WORST venue ever. Not only is there a bar operating during children’s shows, very limited bathrooms. There are lineups out the door and mismanagement for the wheelchair bathroom is being used by non disabled people. The venue itself does not allow children to dance, interact or enjoy themselves or leave their seat. what on earth is the point of hosting children’s shows then? children are encouraged to participate, interact, dance, sing, and move along to the songs and performances. That is what we as parents pay for. We are paying for our children to enjoy themselves. Children cannot sit still for long periods of time. Especially when they are literally watching something that is encouraging them to move. Super Simple Songs, Gabby’s dollhouse and now The Wiggles. What is the point of hosting these shows if children aren’t allowed to be children, if children aren’t allowed to enjoy themselves and parents aren’t going to get what they paid for. Disgusting behaviour by the Meridian arts center. What is the point in providing booster seats for children if you don’t accommodate children properly like other venues? Choose other locations when something is on tour. Do not go to the Meridian arts center. You can look on their website it even says children are not allowed to dance or be disruptive. Apparently children being children is disruptive. AT A CHILDRENS SHOW. This is the biggest facepalm of life..

The venue was exactly what we were looking for! The spacious and bright lobby set the perfect tone for our event, and the Lyric Hall was both warm and modern, creating an ideal atmosphere.

The staff was always professional and responsive. Special thanks to Charissa for handling the technical aspects flawlessly, and a heartfelt shoutout to Yuki, whose support and expertise throughout the entire process were invaluable. She was patient, attentive, and an absolute pleasure to work with.

I highly recommend this venue and team for anyone planning an event!

I highly recommend the Meridian Arts Centre. It offers wonderful performance spaces. The front of house staff, the production team and the tech crew are all fantastic. Extremely supportive and easy to work with. Excellent at problem solving. They have also assisted with reflection and planning at the end of events to ensure that the next time you do the event it is even more successful. I have done several shows at this venue and I will continue planning shows here moving forward. Scott North is also wonderful to deal with.
