At first, Brandon seemed great. When we first met with him, he was responsive and made us excited about our day. The day of the wedding he showed up to meet my bridesmaids and I on time, shot some pictures, and left early, saying he had enough good ones and would meet us at the venue. (his second shooter met my husband and the groomsmen and was great). At the venue, every picture he was taking was very quick and onto the next one. In my mind i thought hey this guy knows what he's doing, he must have just gotten good ones quick, but I was wrong...his second shooter was running around getting SO many photos, she was great. He left our wedding 2 hours earlier than planned because he said he got enough good ones. At the time i was fine with it until after the fact....fast forward to us trying to get our pictures. A complete nightmare.
He originally said 7 weeks...20 weeks later, many texts and calls back and forth of him making up one excuse after another of not getting us our pictures. I was polite while asking, and still nothing. 20 weeks go by and he sent 300 photos. We paid him $5000 and got 300? Looking through the photos, there were some good ones, but SO many were missing. Only one of my dad and I were walking down the aisle, all my photos with my friends were not sent etc. Barely any of my family. Fast forward 7 months, after me harrassing him to send the rest of our pictures, he sends me 400 more photos, and none are edited. All these photos I could tell were from his second shooter. Great photos, but none edited. He refused to give me her contact info to ask her what was going on leading up to this. Since my wedding, the venue we were at has taken him off their recommendation list (THANK GOD). Now im getting a family friend to edit some of our pictures. As a wedding photographer, this is extremely unprofessional. I paid for a full 10 hours of his time, and he left early both when I was getting ready and at the wedding. Then, at the wedding, he was standing around, not taking pictures half the time. Lazy. Also, takes 7 months to give me my unedited pictures back. Very unprofessional.

From the beginning, Brandon seemed pleasant and professional enough, but that quickly changed once the wedding was over and he got paid. Communication dropped off completely. Every few months, we would reach out to ask for updates, and when he did bother to respond, it was always some new excuse…. “the files are almost done,” “just finalizing edits,” “computer issues,” “delivering soon.” Over and over again. Yet, nothing ever arrived.
After countless messages, he finally sent a “highlight video” and the quality was absolutely disappointing. The lighting, editing, and overall presentation were nowhere near what was promised or expected for the price we paid. We even had to ask him to redo his work, which is something no newlywed couple should have to do after paying thousands of dollars for a professional.
To make matters worse, we still haven’t received our promised “speeches”videos. Just a highlight reel, with nothing else that was promised, not a single clip. Just silence. It’s incredibly heartbreaking and infuriating to know that after all this time, we still don’t have a proper way to relive or share one of the most important days of our lives.
We’ve tried being patient, understanding, and polite for over a year. But enough is enough. The lack of communication, accountability, and respect for his clients is absolutely unacceptable. Brandon Taylor has taken our money, ignored our messages, made empty promises, and completely failed to deliver.
To any future couples reading this: please think twice before hiring him. Don’t make the same mistake we did. A wedding photographer’s job is to capture memories you can cherish forever, not to cause stress, disappointment, and anger every time you think about your wedding day.
What should’ve been something beautiful has turned into a constant reminder of unprofessionalism and broken trust.
