Beanfield Centre

"We hosted our annual conference (RightsCon) to the Beanfield Centre for 2018 and were thrilled. The venue was perfect for our large conference, hosting 2500 participants easily. It's a sprawling space, with 20+ breakout rooms spread across one simple rectangle space on the second floor, with the main floor consisting of massive ballrooms and lounge spaces. We seamlessly hosted 20 simultaneous sessions, 5 lounges, and a community village at the event no problem. There's even terrific outdoor space to host cocktail receptions. The staff are also very responsive, accommodating, and professional. Catering staff is terrific, and I even had participants telling me how good the food was (which never happens). Rooms had great AV equipment, and the internet was fantastic, with more than enough bandwidth to deal with a huge tech event with lots of devices. Would highly recommend!" (more)

Glenn Gould Studio

"We've had events to the Glenn Gould Studio two years in a row now and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else! Their event staff is so friendly and accommodating and the space is beautiful. We use the lobby for a cocktail reception and auction and then go into the theatre for a show. Both spaces are great!" (more)

Markham Convention Centre

"A good place for a conference. Did not enjoy the extra chairs they put in to accomodate numbers as they were just black, plastic folding chairs that were narrow and hard. Also, the air conditioning was either not on at all, or not strong enough to handle the number of people in the room. Everyone was hot! The regular chairs were good, just wish I had one the second day. The washrooms were very nice but not huge, and the foyer was large and airy; great for the vendors set up there. >^..^" (more)

"I mostly go here for Raindance film classes. It's nice to see a community centre focused on developing youth culture and opportunities, although the front desk security could be a little more helpful. All in all, a pleasant place to go." (more)
