We could not be happier with how the day panned out. Communication and planning with Malyssa leading up to the day was seamless, responsive and helpful. The staff day of were incredible and the food was excellent, we had guests complimenting us on both.

We loved the vibe of having different areas for guests to mingle, sit, dance and have cocktails. we held our ceremony downstairs in the pong bar which felt intimate.

Seamless & very fun! After Berkeley events went into receivership and we lost our venue with only 2 months notice, I scrambled to find a new venue. While searching I received an email from Malyssa @ Walrus and I popped in. I immediately loved the space but more importantly, I felt super comfortable with Malyssa and trusted her. From that day on, she promptly replied to all of my emails and always made time to meet up if I needed it. Every little detail I asked for, she listened and executed it. She was super easy to talk to and I never felt I was being too needy or overbearing! The turnover from ceremony to reception was flawless and every single one of our guests came to compliment how cool the venue was. The bartenders were quick and professional, the music sounded great. The bottle shop was the perfect spot for my husband & I, family & bridal party to hang back in. The food kept flowing and we had soooo

We had our wedding reception at Walrus Pub & Beer Hall in 2025 and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.

The venue itself was exactly what we wanted; modern, beautifully decorated, and a little bit quirky. From the very beginning, Malyssa was responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. She was truly incredible throughout the planning process and helped with everything from menu suggestions to the floor plan and even connected us with other vendors. Her communication was seamless and she made the entire process stress-free.

On the day of the reception, the venue staff were amazing, kind and attentive. The food was delicious from the canapés to the late-night oyster bar. Our guests are still talking about how great everything was!

We loved having different areas for guests to mingle, dance, enjoy cocktails, and play games. The atmosphere was elevated yet fun and relaxed. Walrus was also one of the most budget-friendly venues we found, yet offered so much more than others.

Choosing Walrus was one of the best decisions we made.

A huge thank you to the entire Walrus team for making our celebration so special!

Unbelievably Amazing!

We got married at this venue, ceremony and reception. From the initial site visit, to booking the venue to the night of the wedding, every step of the way was stress-free and executed perfectly. The events manager, Malyssa, was incredibly knowledgeable, she provided insightful recommendations and made our special day flawless! She ensured that we had everything we needed, that the guests were taken care of and most importantly provided an stress-free experience. We wouldn’t change a thing from our day!

Exceptional. Stunning, spacious & unique venue, amazing event planner, completely stress-free! We had our cocktail-style wedding here in August 2023 and it was everything we hoped it would be. The space itself is gorgeous, and we loved having the patio bar and pool/shuffleboard tables for guest entertainment. The food was DELISH; all of our guests raved about it. Malyssa, the event planner, was absolutely incredible. I am so grateful for all of her help and support throughout the planning process. She is genuinely kind, caring, extremely accommodating and very thorough. Also super enthusiastic and fun to work with! She made our day run so smoothly and I didn’t have to think about a single thing.
