Alobar Downtown is nestled in the heart of Toronto’s bustling Financial District. Alobar Downtown offers revelry in the bar and lounge and warmth in the dining room, both featuring menus from Michelin-starred chef Patrick Kriss. World class wines are displayed as a centrepiece to pair with choice seafood, grilled fish and prime chops. All served with genuine hospitality.

Our dining room features a variety of floor plans suitable for groups of up to 100 guests for a seated meal.

A full venue buyout can accommodate up to 180 guests for a standing reception.

Our bar & lounge area is the perfect venue to welcome up to 65 guests for a cocktail and canapé reception.

For full restaurant buyouts, the bar and lounge is often treated as a reception space ahead of a seated meal in the dining room.

Our covered and heated patio stretches along York Street. The patio is available as a partial buyout option for up to 45 guests, or in combination with our bar & lounge for up to 70 guests for a standing reception.

We had our wedding at Alobar Downtown and it was absolutely stunning. The venue itself is so pretty. The staff were super knowledgable and easy to work with. Our guests kept saying it was the best wedding food they'd ever have. We are over still over the moon about the whole day and how beautiful it was!

Our company first explored working with the Alo Food Group for an event at Salon, one of their Yorkville locations. Our clients were absolutely blown away by every detail, especially the custom menu they helped us design to accommodate all of our guests’ allergies and dietary restrictions.

We knew we wanted to try another one of their restaurants for our next event, so we worked with their team to choose the best available venue for our dinner. We decided on their downtown Alo Bar location, an approachable, upscale steakhouse. We already knew the food would be world-class, but the staff and atmosphere were equally incredible.

My only recommendation for anyone looking to organize an event with them is to book as early as possible, as their venues become incredibly busy, especially with weddings and large corporate events.

We hosted our wedding at Alobar Downtown (the financial district location) in summer 2026 and all we can say is WOW. We've received non-stop feedback from our guests about the food, service, and attention to detail from the night of. We'd specifically like to thank the events team who handled all of our questions with grace and even offered us personalized recommendations to help make our wedding feel like us and not just another wedding including his and hers jell-o shot platters for the late night part of the reception (they were seriously delicious).

Compared to a lot of the other venues we toured, Alobar's minimum spends were highly competitive and the quality of food and service was unmatched. We can't wait to celebrate our first anniversary with them.
