Alobar Downtown is nestled in the heart of Toronto’s bustling Financial District. Alobar Downtown offers revelry in the bar and lounge and warmth in the dining room, both featuring menus from Michelin-starred chef Patrick Kriss. World class wines are displayed as a centrepiece to pair with choice seafood, grilled fish and prime chops. All served with genuine hospitality.

Our dining room features a variety of floor plans suitable for groups of up to 100 guests for a seated meal.

A full venue buyout can accommodate up to 180 guests for a standing reception.

Our bar & lounge area is the perfect venue to welcome up to 65 guests for a cocktail and canapé reception.

For full restaurant buyouts, the bar and lounge is often treated as a reception space ahead of a seated meal in the dining room.

Our covered and heated patio stretches along York Street. The patio is available as a partial buyout option for up to 45 guests, or in combination with our bar & lounge for up to 70 guests for a standing reception.

We hosted our wedding at Alobar Downtown (the financial district location) in summer 2026 and all we can say is WOW. We've received non-stop feedback from our guests about the food, service, and attention to detail from the night of. We'd specifically like to thank the events team who handled all of our questions with grace and even offered us personalized recommendations to help make our wedding feel like us and not just another wedding including his and hers jell-o shot platters for the late night part of the reception (they were seriously delicious).

Compared to a lot of the other venues we toured, Alobar's minimum spends were highly competitive and the quality of food and service was unmatched. We can't wait to celebrate our first anniversary with them.
