So you’ve chosen the venue, found THE dress, chosen your shoes and accessories…now you need to figure out the perfect hair and makeup! With so many different options (e.g. do you go with a neutral palette? or should you go with a smokey eye? what about your hair – should you wear it up or down or something in between?), we reached out to Brittany Gray of Fancy Face Inc. to help you navigate through these options so you look nothing short of perfect on your big day!

Dramatic eyes and soft lips

For 2014 and 2015, makeup is all about fresh, dewy & glowing skin with a tastefully dramatic eye and a soft nude or pink/peach lip. Cheeks are usually bronzed with a pop of colored blush on the apples of the cheeks. Popular eye shadow shades are creams, champagne tones, bronze tones, purples, eggplant shades, browns, blacks & pinks.

False lashes are a must! They make the eyes really stand out in photos & when done properly, can look extremely elegant. Custom individual lashes are the most popular choice for our brides. The lashes are applied by our team the morning of the wedding and are placed on lash by lash with waterproof glue that dries within minutes. The lashes feel weightless and look incredibly natural.

Loose waves, texture and statement pieces

We are seeing bridal hair styled in a much more tousled and relaxed way. Hair all down with beachy loose waves seems to be the most popular choice lately. Also, really loose updos with lots of texture is another favorite among our brides. Hair pieces including vintage broaches and floral crowns are extremely popular and can add a piece of interest to an effortless style. Also, braids are hotter than ever and seem to be an ongoing trend. Braided crowns with a tousled updo is another coveted choice.
