What makes a good DJ at a wedding?

A good wedding DJ should align with your vision. I’ve said this before and I’ll stress it again. Get. To. Know. Your. DJ. Your DJ should be easygoing, friendly and WANTS to make sure your special day caters to your musical preferences. And a good DJ will deliver that! If they can’t, the DJ should be clear and tell you. A good DJ will only commit to what they can deliver

Has your potential DJ worked at your wedding venue?

Any professional DJ who does events and weddings on a regular basis can adapt to new venues. If they have worked at the wedding venue you’ve booked, that’s a plus! Your DJ can let you know what the sound is like, give you the pros and cons and what works better based on the layout, and give you an idea what the staff is like. This gives couples one less thing to think about

How long is a DJ needed for a wedding?

Weddings typically span about 8 hours (5 pm to 1 am), encompassing cocktails, dinner, and reception, with wedding Intros, speeches, etc. woven in. If the ceremony is held at the venue, the day may extend. Toronto DJs operate within a specified time frame, exceeding which may incur additional fees. It's very important to inquire about your DJ's service hours to avoid unexpected charges

We are so grateful our party planner recommended John Britton. We were looking to create a fun party vibe and John immediately seemed to understand what I was looking for. He managed to create the perfect atmosphere and set set the tone beautifully for an exceptional night! Our crowd was made of up various age groups and musical tastes and John managed to expertly capture the mood.

He is a true professional. He was early, organized, and on top of every detail.

He is also wonderful with the crowd who had all kinds of requests.

Most of all, he is a talented musician who understands the wide spectrum of music and knew how to keep the crowd enjoying themselves.

Plus, I found his price incredibly reasonable.
