Your DJ should be easygoing, friendly and WANTS to make sure your special day caters to your musical preferences. And a good DJ will deliver that! If they can’t, the DJ should be clear and tell you. A good DJ will only commit to what they can deliver

Has your potential DJ worked at your wedding venue?

Any professional DJ who does events and weddings on a regular basis can adapt to new venues. If they have worked at the wedding venue you’ve booked, that’s a plus! Your DJ can let you know what the sound is like, give you the pros and cons and what works better based on the layout, and give you an idea what the staff is like. This gives couples one less thing to think about

How long is a DJ needed for a wedding?

Weddings typically span about 8 hours (5 pm to 1 am), encompassing cocktails, dinner, and reception, with wedding Intros, speeches, etc. woven in. He showed up right on time, dressed sharply, and came fully prepared with everything: lights, speakers, and a great vibe. From our first consultation, he was easy to talk to, clear about the process, and genuinely kind.

I filled out his questionnaire, and that was pretty much all he needed. From that point on, I had complete trust in him—and he delivered. He played our favorite songs, read the room beautifully, and kept everything running smoothly, even when I was totally distracted during the ceremony.

One of the moments that really stood out: one of my friends almost knocked over one of his giant speakers (yes, it happened), and John stayed so calm and sweet—just kept doing his thing without missing a beat. That level of professionalism and grace really stood out.

I appreciated him so much I made sure he got himself a meal at our wedding! It just felt like he was part of the day, not just someone working it.

John was probably the best wedding DJ we could have gotten! The process leading up our wedding was so simple and clear, and then the wedding itself? Outstanding! During cocktails and dinner the vibe was impeccable. All night, I was getting comments from friends that they couldn't leave the dancefloor since the music was too good! The bar was right next to the dancefloor but we still had so much leftover alcohol since folks were too busy dancing to drink! John is an absolute professional who can read the room exceptionally well, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a wedding DJ.
