Unlike larger companies, we intentionally keep our roster small to prioritize quality, cohesion, and pure joy in our performances.

As professional party starters, our expertise lies in reading the room and keeping the dance floor packed throughout the night. Each member of our team boasts a wealth of experience, including touring internationally and performing alongside members of The Arkells, the Dave Matthews Band, The Rolling Stones, and K'naan.

My husband and I cannot express how amazing Lauren and the rest of Southbound Soul (William, Justin, Jonathan, and Stefan) was for our wedding in Sept 2022. We had done quite a bit of research looking for live entertainment for our special day and when we came across Lauren we knew she was our top pick. Her insane talent and energy and her selection and style of music was exactly what we pictured for our wedding day. Lauren was really incredible to work with. She was able to create a package for us to meet all of our needs for our day and for our venue, was very responsive the entire time, and was so professional and confident. Her confidence that she would make our entertainment dreams come true and the trust that that instilled in us was something that meant a lot, especially during the more stressful time in the weeks leading up to the wedding. During our last meeting before our big day, she did such an amazing going through all of the details, making plans to accommodate special performances from my husband and a guest, and making us feel relaxed that no matter what we could leave music in her hands. And while this is all great, the fact that she is so kind, and caring, and so much fun is just the cherry on top of it all.

On the day of our wedding she managed our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and first dance music, and then put on an INSANE performance all night long with the band. The entire day it felt so good knowing that everything related to our music was in hands that we trusted and it went flawlessly.

Lauren Roy made us feel relaxed and confident from beginning to end. With so much talent, high energy and organization she was the perfect fit to play at our Elora Mill wedding! The duo (Lauren & Will) played at our ceremony, during Cocktails and kicked off the dance floor following dinner! Lauren became our DJ at 10pm and rocked it! Throughout the evening Lauren had 'MC' duties and kept the night running smoothly! She's classy, fun and offers a wide range of music! We are so lucky to have found her!

Lauren is a special person. Not only is she a great singer and entertainer, but she has an amazing personality. For 2 years now she has made my 89 tear old mother-in-laws birthdays very memorable by performing for her at her home. She is warm, courteous and sweet, and a pleasure to work with. This year even though I approached her last minute, she made sure that she put together a show that would make the Birthday a special one. My mother-in-law and my other in-laws who were also there to listen to her, loved the show and thought she was the sweetest person with the greatest voice! I was lucky to have found Lauren Roy, and I wish her the very best in everything. She is the BEST!!!

Lauren Roy truly made our wedding day perfect. She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, and extremely flexible and understanding with our constant changes and adjustments as a result of COVID. Along with an acoustic guitarist, she lit up the room at our ceremony, nailing the slow, acoustic versions of some of our more up-beat favourites ("Best Friend" by Queen, "Home" by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes, "Believer" by The Monkeys) and putting a tremendous amount of heart and soul into some of the traditional wedding classics ("Moon River," "Can't Help Falling in Love With You"). I was originally concerned that the single guitarist and singer wouldn't be enough to keep the energy high at our intimate backyard reception, but Lauren assured me she and her guitarist alone could "bring the party," and they absolutely delivered. We couldn't believe how big of a sound they pulled off with just the two musicians; it felt like we had hired a 5 or 6 piece band (without bothering the neighbours). After the wedding many of our guests expressed how much they enjoyed the music, and some even asked for her information to hire her themselves. Lauren took so much of the stress off of us during the planning process, and made our wedding day unforgettable. I could not recommend her highly enough.

Lauren is just simply amazing. We came to her with a wacky idea for a company project, and she totally exceeded our expectations and created such a magical music piece, it is truly out of this world. We have worked with her a few times and she has always gone above and beyond. You'd be really silly to skip over Lauren, I promise you'll be so in love with the final product! She is so professional and detail-oriented, you'll love what she creates for you!
