From the very beginning, the planning process was seamless. Communication was excellent throughout, whether through in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls. Every question was answered promptly, and we always felt supported and confident throughout the planning process.
A special thank you goes to our venue coordinator, Sowmya. She played such an important role in bringing our vision to life and made the entire planning process feel easy. Her knowledge and experience helped guide us through decisions on room layouts, menu selections, timelines, and countless other details. We had a Guyanese wedding with several cultural traditions that were important to us, and Sowmya and the entire Royal Ashburn team made every effort to accommodate our requests so that our day reflected our vision while respecting our customs.
On the wedding day, everything was executed exactly as planned. The venue was spotless, the gardens were beautifully maintained, and the reception room was set up perfectly according to the layout we had planned together. One of our favourite features of the property was the pond, which made for an incredible backdrop for our wedding photos.
The food was excellent, and we really appreciated the venue’s willingness to accommodate several dishes that weren’t part of their standard menu. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about the meal. The service throughout the evening was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient, and several of our guests commented on how fun and engaging the bartenders were. Best of all, the entire day ran smoothly and according to schedule, allowing us to simply enjoy every moment.
Another benefit of choosing Royal Ashburn is their list of preferred vendors. We worked with Terri-Ann from Chameleon Events for our décor, and she did an outstanding job transforming both the gardens and reception room. The venue already provides a beautiful foundation, but her work elevated everything to another level. We would definitely recommend asking the venue for her contact information if you’re looking for a decorator.
We also felt the venue offered excellent value. There were no hidden fees or unexpected surprises throughout the planning process, which gave us a great deal of confidence leading up to the wedding.
If we had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to add a dedicated room where the groom and groomsmen can get ready or change before the ceremony. Having that space onsite would make the day’s logistics even easier. Aside from that, we genuinely have no complaints.
Looking back on our wedding day, we honestly wouldn’t change a thing. It was everything we had envisioned, and The Royal Ashburn Golf Club played a huge role in making that happen. The combination of a beautiful venue, exceptional staff, outstanding food, and seamless execution made our wedding an unforgettable experience. Thank you to Sowmya and the entire Royal Ashburn team for helping create memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.
