We were referred to Riz from WalltoWall Draping through our event coordinator for our wedding décor, but unfortunately it turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes we made in choosing vendors. From our very first meeting, we made it clear that we were fine with keeping things simple, but Riz insisted otherwise and overpromised on several aspects. He showed us images of what he was going to do, but the final result was very different. While some parts looked nice, many elements were not what we had discussed.
That said, the biggest issue wasn’t the décor itself — it was Riz’s lack of communication and the way he spoke to us. He scheduled a meeting to finalize our décor a month before the wedding but never followed up. Despite my fiancée trying for three weeks to reach him, he ignored calls and messages. As a result, we only finalized our décor a week before the wedding, which caused unnecessary stress. When my fiancée checked the setup the day before the wedding and raised concerns, Riz dismissed them by saying we had “high standards.” This was especially frustrating because he had specifically told us to bring any concerns directly to him — yet when we did, his response was dismissive and disrespectful.
In hindsight, it was simply not worth the headache. To make matters worse, four of his past clients had warned us about these same issues, but we still chose to move forward — and unfortunately, their warnings proved to be true.Read more
