Ashley and Matthew’s wedding at The Guild Inn Estate is every bit as luxurious and elegant as it is stunning — and, of course, like the couple’s love story, has its sweet moments too. Long story short, the couple met via Instagram, and while Ashley knew Matthew’s family, she didn’t know Matthew. They soon discovered they had more things in common, and Matthew got down on one knee in 2018. The bride, owner of Velvet Bordeaux Events naturally planned her own wedding and the results were gorgeous! You’ll love this gallery shot by the talented JLP Studio.
The bride fit the vibe perfectly in her breathtaking lace gown from David's Bridal and flawless hair and makeup. The couple shared an adorable first look before embarking on the rest of their romantic and playful photo session.
In a gorgeous ceremony that was officiated by I Marry U, the couple said “I do” alongside lush florals by Sarah Melissa Designs and an ethereal ceremony arch by B-You-Nique.

The ceremony was followed by a dazzling reception with opulent decor by Luxe Designs and fabulous white floral designs at each table that also featured dreamy candlelight and elegant stationary from Paperly Canada and Paper Heart. In keeping with the floral vibe, the bride hid gardenia candles around the room knowing very well that if any of her guests smell gardenia, they will be reminded of their special day because the sense of smell is the strongest sense that ties back to memory. The couple had signature drinks in honour of their dogs who weren’t allowed at the reception – Gelato Gin was a gin and tonic while Allegra Merlot was a merlot sangria. At the end of the night, there was a cigar girl who walked around with a tray of cigars after dinner and guests were offered macarons by Cakes N' Bloom – one was champagne which represented the bride while the other was cappuccino which represented the groom. The fabulous wedding cake was from Cake Creations by Michelle.
When it came to entertainment, Bongo & B Entertainment surreptitiously snuck in a professional dancers who mingled among the crowd pretending to be friends of the couple. Mid way through the couples’ first dance, all 8 professional dancers got up from different tables to join in a professionally choreographed performance – definitely a surprise to everyone in attendance! As the evening rolled on, the tunes by G Entertainment kept guests on the dance floor while giant LED Robot‘s provided some additional spectacle. Sparktacular Events provided the indoor sparklers and dry ice for the grand entrance and first dance.
