Inna and Alex met at work but in their words “didn’t think this was anything serious for a while.” Flash forward a few years later, and the couple was engaged in Kelowna, British Columbia — a special place for Inna who had studied for her Master’s there — where Alex planned a very nice sunset dinner on a patio facing the Okanagan Lake, and got down on one knee. They soon said “I do” at the elegant and rustic WaterStone Estate & Farms in a beautiful celebration of love with their friends and family. When touring potential venues, the couple immediately fell in love with the Waterstone’s rolling fields, horse stables, and rustic barn — the perfect backdrop for their relaxed and romantic event. The bride looked breathtaking in her sultry-yet-sophisticated dress from Essense of Australia, complete with shoes by Karl Lagerfeld and hair and makeup by Luxe Look. She joined her husband-to-be for a sweet photo session that highlighted both their love and the charming backdrop of their stunning venue.
The couple made it official in a romantic and intimate ceremony in the venue’s barn marked by a stylish arch and dreamy twinkle lights and lighting that gave it a cozy feel.
We adore everything about this indoor-outdoor wedding reception. From the picturesque and vintage accents to the personal details to the fun lawn games, the couple definitely put their unique take on a modern rustic wedding reception.
