Consisting of two main spaces, the St. Lawrence Hall and the St. Lawrence Market North, both are historic settings, with flexible event spaces, and exceptional amenities. St. Lawrence Hall is a heritage building steeped with history and traditional charm. Built in 1850 as a meeting place for public gatherings, concerts and exhibitions and restored to its original grandeur in 1967, the Hall offers two versatile floors for social and private events. The versatile space is a central option of weddings, galas, private/corporate events and small conferences.
Features of the Hall include a 2,850 square feet ballroom with original chandeliers & carved plaster ceilings on the third floor with a capacity of 250 theatre-style or 150 seated. Additional breakout & meeting spaces are available throughout the second and third floors. A/V equipment of a 7 feet portable screen & projector and a prep kitchen is available on site.
The brand new North Market building features the new state-of-the-art Market floor main event venue as well as auxiliary spaces on the second floor such as a small venue space, incubator kitchen and seniors' resource centre. The Market floor is a distinct new space featuring 14 foot ceilings and modern glass enclosures that can be opened up to create an open-air experience into Market Lane Park. With endless natural light and nods to heritage discoveries from previous Market buildings on this historic site the new North Market building is the shining gem of the District.
