Although Leslie is nice and knows the industry well she created additional undo stress during our unfortunate cancellation dilemma. Due to Covid our venue canceled and we were left scrambling to find a new venue on the same date. We contacted Leslie to advise her of our dilemma and the new location at which time we got no response. After waiting nearly a month and many attempts to contact her we decided to reach out to her husband. When she finally contacted us she made no attempt to apologize for the delay or for adding to our stress. She also wanted to charge us more money to relocate and reallocate the money with our smaller guest count. Unfortunately, we recently had to make the tough decision to cancel our wedding due to Covid lockdowns. Hoping she would be understanding, considering what we’ve already been through, and honour our request for a full refund of our deposit (like our other vendors) she decided that a 40% refund was appropriate. We eventually had to compromise at 50%. We don’t mind paying her for the time she spent with us but we believe 50% of our deposit is excessive. Lesson learned.
