A perfectly crisp winter evening set the stage for Angus Glen Golf Club & Conference Centre‘s annual wedding show: with a picturesque backdrop of snow blanketing the expansive course that surrounds their warm Victorian-style clubhouse, couples had the opportunity to meet with some of the GTA’s finest wedding vendors and also experience the venue’s gracious hospitality. There was no mistaking where we were with the venue’s legendary name proudly lit and leading the way inside where everyone was greeted with complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres.
With drink merrily in hand I entered the show’s main room to take in the beauty and brilliance of the evening, expertly captured by the talented team at AGI Studio.
First stop – photos in the innovative vintage VW photo booth bus, creatively designed by Snaptique who were there to help guests get their night started with some creative and sweet snaps.
The show was filled with gorgeously inspirational set-ups that showcased different types of decor; all equally stunning yet totally different to suit varying tastes. Below, First Comes Love Weddings & Floral Designs designed a brilliant head table featuring a floral arch with greenery and sleek, sharp black accents – the perfect example of decor that can add a slightly more modern feel to a couple’s wedding day. Equally as stunning were the blooms arranged by Bloomberry & Co. featuring green, white and magenta – perfect for those wanting to add a pop of colour to their wedding!
Blissful Memories & Events presented a clean and modern white-on-white palette with perfectly positioned white roses lending an additional air of contemporary elegance.
Other highlights that stood out to me were: Chair Decor featuring chair covers with a side of charisma, CMP Couture with bespoke wedding gown options, and Brooklin Paper Co. with their exquisite collection of wedding invitations that can be customized to suit any couple’s special day.
I really don’t cover these events purely for the food, but with all of the delightful desserts featured through the evening, it was easy for me to temporarily forget. Mini meringue tarts and marvelous macarons from Nadège Pâtisserie were just the beginning. Savannah Grace Bakes featured bite-sized samples of their many delicious and original cakes. Yum!
I made sure to cleanse my palate before taking on the taste adventure that is Love Gelato, a portable gelato shop which has become a popular wedding-addition with their ability to pop-up at any event with your favourite gelato flavours (their energetic staff helped me decide on Mint Chocolate and Banana after a few minutes of sweet indecision.)
Angus Glen‘s wedding show was not only extremely helpful for the many attendees who came with planning their wedding on their mind, but also an incredible experience that mixed elegance with fun. With food in generous supply, we left not only delighted by the cuisine, but inspired from a wonderful evening in their perfect country setting. Thanks again to Angus Glen and all the vendors (listed below and on the right hand side) for such a fantastic night!
