Kicking off the new year with a bang, Deer Creek opened up its doors, warmly welcoming newly engaged couples to drop by and check out their annual wedding show! This is, without a doubt, one of Durham’s best opportunities to not only check out one of the best Durham region wedding venues, but also to meet and greet with so many incredibly talented local vendors – all in a more warm and casual environment. From the gorgeous decor and florals to sweet and savoury treats, this wedding show had something for everyone!
We gotta thank our good friend Lindsie Grey Photography for capturing all the excitement!
Below, this elegant arch draped in navy and fresh florals also by Annie Lane would make a stunning head table, don’t you think?! Just imagine sharing a seat with your sweet heart on those regal white chairs after saying “I Do”!
The talented team at Chameleon Events took a different spin on the navy theme by featuring a gorgeous harvest table, white florals and delicate Chinoiserie vases. So lovely!
A little gold goes a long way! Without a doubt, an intimidating colour to work with, the talented team at House of Golden-Aire, executed perfectly, adding that ultra luxe touch shown below.
The classic pink and white palette still remains one of the most popular colour choices, and the team at Hazel D. Events shows us exactly why: soft, romantic and just all around elegant! Notice the gold accents from the tableware.
And of course, no wedding open house is complete without a plethora of delicious food and libations! Guests put their own spin on a brunch classic, the mighty Caesar and enjoyed mocktail style samples of some delicious drinks. On a cold winter’s day, nothing beats some hearty comfort foods like delectable prime rib sliders and a crazy-delish buffalo mac n’ cheese ramekin that had me wanting seconds!
…and for dessert? How about a fully styled donut bar decked out with tons of classic pastries!
Guests had a great time meeting with so many incredibly talented vendors!
Don’t miss this beautiful video recap of the day captured by the team at Almost Married.
With over 600 people in attendance, it’s safe to say that the show was a resounding success. The talented group of vendors brought out their best as guests mingled amongst the styled tables, indoor pyrotechnics and delightful cuisine. This was truly an open house not to be missed and we can’t to see what’s in store for next year! A big thanks to Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility for inviting us to participate!
