There is something undeniably enchanting about the way even a rainy day enhances the lush beauty of the Miller Lash House. Tucked away along the eastern edge of Toronto, it feels like a secluded countryside retreat hidden within the urban landscape. From the moment you step onto the grounds, the winding garden pathways, mature trees, and peaceful atmosphere create an immediate sense of escape.
Imagine guests arriving to a romantic garden setting, welcomed by a whimsical stone staircase surrounded by lush natural greenery that instantly turns their entrance into part of the experience itself. Miller Lash House has a way of transporting guests completely – as though they have stepped into a storybook setting removed from the city around it.
What photos cannot fully capture, however, is the atmosphere experienced in person: the sounds of birds chirping overhead, leaves rustling in the breeze, and the quiet stillness that makes the property feel so immersive and memorable from the very first moment of arrival.
As guests enter the space, the venue reveals another layer of its undeniable charm. Warm ambient lighting, natural wood and stone textures, romantic tablescapes, and sweeping views of the surrounding greenery created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and inviting while seamlessly extending the enchanting garden aesthetic indoors.
As both an attendee and vendor sponsoring the open house, I had the unique opportunity to experience the event through two perspectives. In addition to showcasing my own decor company, In The 6ix Weddings, and helping visitors envision how thoughtful pops of colour could elevate the space, I was also able to engage with guests and connect with the featured vendors throughout the showcase.
Moving into the vendor showcase tent by AER Tent & Event Rentals Inc, the thoughtfully curated floor plan guided guests through a layered experience, allowing each vendor to showcase their unique contribution to the overall atmosphere of the event.
Every corner of the venue offered something new to discover. From the white rose photobooth by Revolve Event Services to the live painting by The Wedding Painting to the gelato from Nana's Gelato, guests were invited to actively engage with the space through thoughtfully designed displays, conversations, and experiences that brought the venue to life in a far more meaningful way than a traditional walkthrough.
Miller Lash House placed the two design and décor sponsors at the main entrance, creating an immediate focal point for arriving guests. Pastel drapery, soft romantic florals, and layered details established a welcoming tone from the very first step into the space, reinforcing how impactful entrance design can be in shaping the overall guest experience.

Music played a central role in shaping the atmosphere throughout the event. DJ Floh Back Productions kept the energy flowing with a curated mix of contemporary tracks and nostalgic throwbacks. Complementing this, Nova Sounds Entertainment added a live keyboard performance that brought a warm, organic layer to the experience, perfectly complementing the venue’s classical indoor character. Naturally, one of the highlights of the open house was the opportunity to explore its preferred catering partners. Thoughtfully curated menus and tasting stations by Kiss the Cook Catering, Food Dudes, en Ville Event Design and Catering, Daniel et Daniel Catering & Events, allowed guests to experience a true taste of their offerings.
As guests moved through the vendor tent, many were drawn to beautifully presented bites such as salmon and caviar tartlets, beet arancini, miniature steak frites, and signature mocktails, each adding another sensory layer to the experience. Underpinning it all, tableware by Element Event Solutions and staffing by Staff Your Event ensured seamless service and a polished guest experience throughout.
Guests left Miller Lash House feeling inspired, having gained a clearer sense of how the space can be transformed and personalized for their own weddings. Many departed excited and eager to begin planning their celebrations.
