Liz and the team at paintbox were just incredible to work with! They helped put together a custom menu for our event (really we dreamt it, they made it and they handled so many dietary requests) and managed ordering all the furniture we needed. The food was so delicious - our guests could not stop talking about how it was the best wedding food they had eaten. During the event, the Paintbox team was on top of it all - we had no stress about anything. Would highly recommend Paintbox for your next event.
Love the relaxed atmosphere and the selection of food. It's never busy here and it's a nice spot to bring a laptop, or a book. Staff are super nice.
This place is fantastic. The staff are amazing. Thanks for the wonderful coffees ladies :)
I came to Toronto to start a career in busking, I've always had a knack for street performing, singing and magic tricks. After the first day it was clear that my new life was more a learning experience than a profitable venture. One of the biggest messages that kept coming back was "you suck." The second biggest tip was from my troupmates who said I should go stick my head in a Paintbox. They said it over and over.Being a food connoisseur I decided to take the rest of the say off and go find the Paintbox. In glad I stuck my head in the Paint Box because my taste buds have found a new color palette. The artistic atmosphere is perfect for a street performer looking to get a taste of eclectic ambiance AND fresh prepared bistro food.I ordered the guacamole breakfast bagel. With 3 huge strips of fresh bacon, fresh arugula, guacamole and what felt like a pesto mustardseed butter - it had the sense memory recall effect of brining me back to the Italian countryside where I grew up as the son of a poor shoemaker. The tartness of the mustardseed combined with the richness of the avocado and the freshness of the soft bagel was a perfect culinary companion to the classic cheese and bacon.I have 2 suggestions for any artist or creative coming to Toronto - don't give up on your dreams, and stick your head in a Paintbox.
Just had both the Chicken Pot Pie and Baked Mac & Cheese...I could easily say, they have both replaced my Mom's recipe (just don't tell her)...
