No other event venue in Toronto offers an amazing combination of historical tradition and contemporary vibe that is inherent in the 1871 Berkeley Church. The main floor features a grand ballroom with fireplaces and a Victorian-inspired bar. Overlooking the main space is a classic, beautiful mezzanine, featuring 17ft high stained glass windows, making it the perfect backdrop for your main event. The Circa 1871 Lounge on the lower level, with its inviting exposed stone walls also features intimate nooks, a wine cellar, and an enclosed courtyard. The historical character and charm of our 150-year old church provides a unique backdrop for any special occasion. We are excited to welcome your clients, colleagues, friends, and family to our Berkeley Church Venue for weddings, corporate events & functions, cocktail receptions, fundraising galas, as well as intimate dinner parties, product launches and more!

We got married at the Berkeley on February 24 2018 and our wedding was a dream come true. Ashley Craig was our event organizer and she was AMAZING! The wedding planning process was completely stress free because of all of Ashley's help. As soon as my husband and I walked into the Berkley Church we knew we wanted to get married there. It is such a stunning venue that doesn't require a lot of extra decoration. The staff were very polite and our guests raved about the food. I would highly recommend this venue!!

I just had my wedding in August of 2017 at Berkeley Church. I will say that this is a beautiful venue, but the staff/owners are lucky it’s so charming. From our first visit with Tom who barely showed us the full venue during the tour (there were areas that later our caterer showed us that Tom hadn’t taken us through) all the way to our venue coordinator Kathy, losing a vendor’s easel that we needed to return, this was overall a dysfunctional place to have an event or wedding. First of all, this venue does state that it has an exclusive caterer that must be used. They told us they were willing to allow us to bring in our own caterer but for a Landmark Fee. We said no problem. It was very tough to coordinate with Tom as he seemed to be “out of the office” quite often and we seemed to be nickel and dimed throughout the entire process (I’m sure it’s because we weren’t using their caterer even though we still paid an arm and a leg for the venue and extra fee). Fast forward to the day of the wedding, their staff had agreed to help set up tables on 1 floor while the caterer would look after the other level. Caterer showed up to find that nothing had been done. The worst part about this venue? COCKROACHES. My caterer later told me that during the wedding they witnessed a cockroach fall out of a cupboard in the kitchen (luckily our food was cooked offsite and stored in a separate area). To top it all off, a Berkeley staff member told my caterer to not leave purses or valuables lying around close to the back door as sometimes hookers and homeless people will wander in and steal wallets. How are you still operational?!?! A staff member also scribbled out a drink menu option on one of our signs that we were meant to keep as a memento of the night from our calligrapher. It’s now ruined and unusable. To top it all off, our venue coordinator lost an easel that we need to return to our calligrapher. It was supposedly on her desk. It sounds like even the staff steal from each other. Whatever you do DO NOT BOOK HERE. Totally unprofessional and an awful experience.

We got married this past fall. Everything about our wedding was perfect! This venue is so unique and has so much character. Our coordinator was Amita and was amazing! She helped us with our timeline, décor and our ceremony. We didn't have to hire a wedding coordinator and saved some costs there. If you can request her, I recommend it. Only downfall with this venue is stairs (there are lots and no elevator) and rehearsal is not guaranteed. Other then that it was great.

I had my wedding at the Berkeley Church this past summer and my experience was fantastic. Working with the venue coordinator, Amita Singer made us feel so at ease during this process. She promptly responded to all our questions and truly made our day a priority. All and all our wedding was a wonderful evening. I can’t wait to see the pictures from the amazing space. Many thanks again to Amita and the Berkeley staff!

Wedding at the Field House April 30 2016 Our daughter's wedding was on Saturday and we could not have been happier. Our planner Ashley was attentive and very organized. She dealt with all my concerns and worries with grace. The food was was very good and the service excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful, including the doormen. As the weather was cool, they had the outdoor fireplace on and the heaters lit. All in all it was a lovely experience. Thank you!!

Just had our wedding here last weekend and it was perfect!!! This was my dream venue for so long and everything turned out flawlessly. A large part of that is thanks to Ashley Craig who was an outstanding events coordinator who made sure everything went so smoothly!! I loved having someone more organized than me and she was incredible at responding to every little detail and question I had. She made the process so stress free!!! Thank you Berkeley Church!! P.S. Food was very important to me and the stuffed hen was a huge hit. Food was incredible.
