The food is really good. This was my second time going to El Catrin and both times I loved the food. The restaurant is a bit pricey and therefore it is not really affordable for going on a regular basis (that is why I did not give 5 starts). This last time I went to the brunch challenge which gave me 50% off. With 50% off the price was great and totally worth it.
Came here last night for the first time during dinner and wow! It sure is beautiful. Hosts were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. However, our server Gina made our night. She made great recommendations and had us entertained all night. I highly recommend the Baja tacos...delicious! Will be back again. Thank you El Catrin and thank you Gina!
Came here for the outdoor brunch challenge. $18 for a 4 course meal was pretty good. The food was very tasty, but not $36 regular price good. Service was friendly but a bit absent. I could tell there was a good amount of effort put into each dish sent out to us.
This is a good place to visit during the summer when at the Distillery. I highly recommend sitting on the patio which is tucked in perfectly between the busy walkway and the restaurant. The place can get very busy and the lineups start early so reserve a table if you can.The food is good but the cocktails can be inconsistent. And because it is busy during the summer, the service people can be overwhelmed so please be kind. They do a great job!
We went last night to El Catrin for the first time and felt a warm welcome. The minute we walked in, many smiles greeted us and a conversation was sparked before heading to our table. Eugene is a wonderful manager and took care of us so generously. The physical atmosphere, design and ambience makes you feel as though you are in a cocoon of Mexico. We only had drinks but will be heading back to experience the food!
