My biggest challenge in writing this review will be to keep it from getting novel-length. Because honestly, I could write a book about how wonderful of a wedding planner Amanda is. We first hired Amanda right after we got engaged in early 2020, based on two separate recommendations from a colleague and my hairdresser. Not long after that, the pandemic hit. To say that it was a challenging and uncertain time to be planning a wedding would be an understatement, but through it all, Amanda was our rock. She provided consistent and responsive support, guidance, and advice, keeping us sane with her optimism and organization. More than anyone else, she made this incredibly complicated and stressful period simple, and even fun. Amanda spent time getting to know us, and knew that we wanted an easygoing and authentic day. From planning out our budget and visiting venues, to choosing an officiant, florist, hair and makeup artists, our amazing photographer, and a killer DJ, Amanda was the one-stop-shop for our wedding decision-making. She would curate a short list of vendors within our budget that she had experience with and would recommend, and each one was fantastic. We trusted her taste, and she never steered us wrong! On the big day, it felt like Amanda was everywhere at once! She carried my bouquet and kept my veil clean during our photoshoot, taped up my dress to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions, supplied bridesmaids with blister bandaids, and handled my friends and family perfectly, all while making sure everything ran on time. Its no exaggeration to say that the choice to hire Amanda was the best decision we made for our wedding. Despite the pandemic times, our wedding day was beautiful, personal, and, above all, fun! I wouldn’t change a thing. My husband and I both credit Amanda for translating our wedding hopes into reality, and would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone looking to plan a wedding.

We had the pleasure of working with Amanda in the month leading up to our wedding day. In a few short days, Amanda was able to get caught up to speed on our plans for the big day. From that point onwards, Amanda coordinated with our vendors to make a detailed itinerary for our wedding day, which allowed us to concentrate on the things that mattered most to us. It was clear to us that Amanda had extensive experience planning weddings. During our in-person consultations, Amanda raised a number of important issues that we had not previously considered, suggested cost-effective options and alternatives and made an itinerary that was customized to our needs. She also helped us to navigate issues and changes as they arose, which took a lot of pressure off of us. Throughout the process Amanda was always attentive to our needs and we really felt as though we could count on her. It was an absolute pleasure working with Amanda and she made our big day run smoothly. Thanks to Amanda and her team, we were able to relax and enjoy our special day without constantly worrying about the timing or details of our wedding. We can highly recommend OpenSky Weddings and if we could do it over again we would have hired Amanda from the start to help plan the entire wedding.

Amanda gives her heart and soul to her business. From the moment I met her at the Wedding Market in February, to when we signed up for month-of services, and the final meeting the day before the wedding; Amanda supported me in my vision for an a-typical wedding. What she pulled off was one that uniquely reflected the personality of my fiancé and me.
Amanda was professional, poised, and full of little tips. I didn’t have to handle anything the day-of my wedding. I have no idea if anything went askew… I was too busy enjoying the moment! That’s exactly what I would expect from her team which means I can’t give her credit for all of the little things she probably fixed that I have no idea happened day-of.
The ONLY issue I was aware of was when my fake eyelashes started falling off. Amanda’s emergency kit came to the rescue with some eyelash glue and she stood with me in the bathroom while I was getting myself together- what a fun giggle fest that was.
I don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t had Amanda to help us pull off the day of our dreams. It was just simply perfect.

Our wedding would not have been the same without Amanda. I would give her 10 stars if I could. Amanda was the reason a control freak like myself was able to let go and actually relax on my wedding day. I wasn’t worried about anything because we had 110% trust in Amanda. Amanda takes the time to really get to know a couple. She recognizes that all couples are unique and she prioritizes getting to understand what’s most important to you. And then she does everything to make sure it happens. From the first time we met with Amanda, she made us feel so comfortable. We often felt more like she was a friend rather than our wedding planner. Amanda was incredibly thorough, going through every detail with us with a fine toothed comb. Whenever she sensed any uncertainty on our end, she went above and beyond to make us comfortable. When we were unsure about something at our venue, she took it upon herself to make an appointment to get a venue tour and find all the answers for us. When we were expressed some concerned about our DJ, she took it upon herself to call them too. Amanda doesn’t dismiss anything you tell her, she recognizes immediately when you’re uneasy about something and goes above and beyond to ease all your worries. Amanda executed everything flawlessly. If anything went wrong on our wedding day, we didn’t notice it and neither did anyone else. We dropped off a bunch of random décor pieces to Amanda the night before our wedding to deliver to the venue for us. We gave zero direction in how to set things up because we completely trusted Amanda. When we got to the venue and saw how she set everything up, we were blown away. Her eye for detail and her creative flair made our ballroom more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. Amanda was amazing in every way imaginable- from perfectly coordinating specific songs with dinner, giving my mom the confidence she needed to get through her speech, or calming my little brother’s nerves right before he walked me down the aisle. Above all, Amanda’s presence is exactly what you need on your wedding day- she is easy going, calm and composed, organized and has the best sense of humour. Our guests loved her as much as we did. I would recommend Amanda 1000 times over.

Where do we begin to thank Amanda for her contribution to our big day? Honestly, without Amanda, we would not have been able to keep ourselves together with the organization of all of the various vendors and contracts! Thank you, Amanda, very much for your services and energy during all of the days leading up to, and on, our wedding day. We highly recommend Open Sky Weddings to anybody who is getting married soon, and are actively referring her services to our friends and colleagues who plan to have a wedding in the near future.

There are so many great things about Amanda, I really don't know where to start. Amanda is SO passionate, about not just her work, but also her clients. It is not all about the money with her, and it really shows. With her, my husband and I had the PERFECT wedding! Everything I convyed that I wanted at the wedding was AT the wedding (literally everything) and it was done right! It looked even better than I had imagined it would. She is incredibly easy to talk to and work with. It was an absolute pleasure working with her! She fixed budget issues such as the flowers and took all the stress off our shoulders. We really could not have pulled it off nearly this well without Amanda.
