"November 18th 2017 we use this facilities to celebrate Rupert Bourne's 50th birthday. The facility was clean and staff as polite. The manager Jey worked alongside me, making sure that the night went along without a hitch. The decor was fantastic, food was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this venue for any occasions. "We held our wedding reception here last weekend - everything was beyond amazing!! It was a wonderful day and evening. Finally arriving at EG in our limo was so surreal, seeing our marquee, our posters, and the red carpet treatment - Spectacular! :) Guests also mentioned enjoying arriving to these VIP details. Can't wait to see our professional photos! Everything went well and smoothly. The ballroom was fabulous, the ambiance, decor, overall setting was perfect for our La La Land movie theme. We even had the movie playing through dinner. We received many compliments on how magical and enchanting the setting was and many compliments to the venue. Everyone was in awe, especially loving our room reveal with the magical draw of the curtains and seeing just us from the mezzanine during our first dance - what a special unique feature for sure! Great job to Ari and team on tech/lights/AV that worked with our wedding planning/coordination team and the rest of our vendors to set the scene! The purple up lights and warm lights at the front of the room were spot on, as well as the spotlight during certain points in the evening. And thank you again to Sarah and crew for adding the gorgeous chairs, it really pulled our sweetheart table together. I couldn't get over how beautiful it was, so many gorgeous details - still can't! :) We felt that Joe was super attentive, checking in every so often to ensure we were attended to. Our glasses were never empty for dinner, the servers, the team were amazing. Joe even made sure we got back to our seats to ensure our meals were still hot, so we could enjoy them. The bartender, I didn't catch his name, went out of his way to serve me (the bride) 1 last drink even though it was a few mins over time as they were cleaning up. Didn't see the self serve water set up though? We may have just missed it. We also didn't get a chance to take a look at our late night station, but feedback was good. General feedback we received regarding the food was wonderful. Food was so delicious, so many guests raved at how satisfied they were, having beyond their fill of food and drink (especially important to us and our parents) leaving with hearts and bellies full and having had a fantastic time. I was able to chat with Neil and Mark at the end of the evening and expressed my thanks in their being there alongside the EG team. Mark was great with helping with a couple lighters during our sparkler photos and made sure to hold the door for us each time we entered/exited. Neil was great even from the Thursday we practiced our dance, to the very end of the evening. I asked him to pass on our thanks and appreciation to all the servers/staff for attending to us and our guests all evening - hopefully they were able to enjoy some of the flowers we left behind. Though it got really stressful towards the end of the planning, we felt that the evening went super smooth overall! Sarah was very prompt and responsive to all our questions and emails leading up to the big day. She made sure to provide us suggestions, alongside our wedding planner and captured all details on our function plan to ensure timing and details were perfect. Thank you so much again - especially to Sarah - for all your help, recommendations throughout the planning process and all the thoughtful well wishes. "Franca and her team did an incredible job with our wedding! Right from the get-go, Franca was great to work with. She was professional, personable, and quickly responded to the numerous questions I had. Leading up to our wedding day, she was readily available to chat, easily made adjustments to our menu or room set up, paid attention to detail, and helped coordinate and facilitate a flawless day! She genuinely wanted to make our wedding day perfect. The staff at the Weston were also incredible day-of. The bartenders and waiters/waitresses were so accommodating and did an amazing job all evening. Our friends and family raved about the food, service, and overall feel in the Weston. The venue itself is beautiful, and didn't require much decorating as it is so pretty on its own. Added bonus of being able to take pictures outside on the golf course. If you are looking for a venue that is intimate and romantic, and a team that is professional and reliable- this is the place to go! Highly recommend the Weston! " (more)

"From our first online contact, through the initial visit (one year before the wedding) and all the way through to the pick-up of a few leftover decor items two days after the wedding, the whole experience was smooth and professional. April Thornton's estimated costs were bang on. We really appreciated that the initial estimate was sent at our very first query. April guided us through every step. We always got a prompt response to our questions and always felt we were valued clients. We did have a great 'Day-of-Event' coordinator, (Brigitte Krause) who worked in tandem with April for our daughter's wedding. We knew from the start, we had nothing to worry about. We were able to relax and have a great time. We got to enjoy the whole day, worry free. The staff at the Albany Club was gracious and attentive. We received excellent feedback from our guests about the venue, the delicious and artistically presented food and the amiable staff. Moving guests from the main floor ceremony space to the cocktail reception on the fourth floor was easy and well received by guests. The rooftop area was also quite popular as it was such a beautiful spring day. The changeover of the ceremony hall to dinner-dance mode was very smooth. There were quite a few 'AHHH's' uttered by guests as they entered the transformed space. I have already recommended the Club to several of our friends who have upcoming weddings. We also appreciated the downtown Toronto location, it allowed our guests a wider variety of travel and transit options. " (more)
