February 2019

The best decision we made for our wedding was choosing the Joseph Carrier art gallery at the Columbus Event Center. My then fiance and I both lived in the States and did a lot of our planning from there and I cannot emphasize how amazing and effortless my experience was planning my wedding at this venue. From the beginning, my communication with Diego, the sales manager, was smooth and prompt. He helped coordinate meetings with my mother and sister who did site visits for me. Diego ensured everything I might need to host my reception could be arranged given my south-asian background.

A few weeks prior to the event, Stephen Liang, took over as the event manager and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. From seating arrangements, menus, itineraries and coordinating with the decorator, band, cake delivery and everything in between - Stephen helped with everything! He made sure our wedding ran smoothly and all the food was served on time. He was absolute gem!

The staff was impeccable and very very professional! I cannot express the joy I felt on the day of my wedding and afterwards. I highly recommend this venue, not only because it is stunning but also because you will not get a more personable experience anywhere else!

For our wedding, we used the Joseph Carrier art gallery and we are extremely happy we did so. I never write reviews, but I appreciate so much the team and the venue we used, that I will gladly encourage everyone to book their event here!
From the start, Diego was the most responsive person we dealt with, they were the most reasonable and the most flexible out of the venues we had visited. Compared to other venues, we felt that it was the best value, and decided to move ahead with them.

The day of the wedding was very smooth. There were no problems, no hiccups. All the food arrived exactly on schedule, our guests raved about the food (we knew already they would), and even had great comments about the service. Many of our guests made the comment that the staff was very attentive and concerned about their experience.

Many of the reviewers below mentioned how the staff were reasonable and patient, and I would absolutely agree with those sentiments. Diego and Jorge were so easy to deal with from start to finish.

September 2018

Our booking at Columbus Events Centre - The Columbus Room (50 guests in our party) - was the first time I booked a venue for a family event. It was a surprise 50th birthday party for my sister, and my family has never organized a large party. We are a very casual bunch, and did not have a large budget. From the moment my mom contact CEC through eventsource, everything fell into place! Diego Rupolo messaged us in less than 24 hours, and it was so easy to view the venue, to discuss the price (which was incredibly reasonable for a venue in Toronto!), and to make changes throughout our planning. I also like that they allowed us to decorate the place ourselves which helped us budget our materials accordingly. I've dealt with alot of venues and event organizers in my line of work for other clients, but the CEC team is by far the kindest, most reasonable bunch of people I've ever worked with. Stephen Laing the banquet supervisor was incredibly attentive and very accommodating towards all our requests. He checked in on our team on the day of the event and constantly offered his help. I don't even know how many times my mom emailed him (!!) and he always responded promptly. They also had an event supervisor, Edgar who was in charge of ensuring the success of our evening. Edgar was so kind and incredibly patient with my family. He helped us all along the way and made sure the food was out on time, that the audio was working for our presentations, and that everything went according to plan. I could gush all day about this amazing team (FYI - they also had amazing food, and good house wine), all I can say is, definitely book this venue for your next event - the room we booked was the smallest room, but they have other areas in the CEC for larger parties.

I don’t think I can say enough great things about my wedding in the Sala Caboto Ballroom at the Columbus Event Centre! From the moment we had our first venue tour until the end of our wedding everyone was a pleasure to work with, especially Jorge. They made the whole planning process really easy and enjoyable. The day of our wedding ran so smoothly and all our guests only had great things to say! The food was so amazing and there was so much of it! The service throught the day was phenomenal too. Being able to have our ceremony and reception in the same place was the best and made for an easy transition. The garden space was so shady and pretty, especially on such a hot August day. I’m so happy we found such a green, quiet spot in Toronto to have our wedding! Our wedding day was perfect.
