Craig assisted me with floral design for my 2 wedding functions on August 27 and September 2, 2016 (he was referred to me by my wedding planner). When my fiance and I first met with Craig (sometime in February), we loved him so much that we did not want to look any further even though his prices were higher than some of the other places we've looked at. We were treated extremely well and were promised that he would give us the wedding of our dreams and that Craig would meet with us anytime as many times as he wanted to ensure he fulfills our vision. When we received the original quote, it was much higher than what we've discussed during our meeting. However, thanks to my wonderful wedding planner, we were able to agree to a more reasonable range. In June-July, I contacted Craig asking to set up a meeting so we can discuss my vision in detail. He happily agreed to the meeting but it was far from what I expected. During the meeting, Craig walked me through our price quote (which I did not ask to do as I was already familiar with what we've agreed on) and said that my wedding was very typical and that there is nothing to discuss. When I asked him to show me the idea he has for my wedding, he told me to look online and his website and see what I like. I was extremely upset with how Craig treated me especially given that he promised a very different level of service during our first meeting. However, I left hoping that maybe I will get a better idea at the time I see a sample for the table centre pieces. In August, I visited Craig again (this time with my wedding planner) to review the centre piece. I was very happy with the quality of Craig's work - I have provided my feedback and asked to add few additional items which I understood were going to cost me extra few thousands of dollars. When we sat down to go over the revised quote, I noticed that the quote Craig was looking at was much higher - I assumed it was probably the original one which my wedding planner had discussed with him. When I mentioned that to Craig, he told me not to worry about it - he assured me that he is not there to "rip me off" and that he will go through the quote in detail and will send me a revised on within few days.I patiently waited and when I received the revised quote (this is now 2 weeks before my wedding), I almost fainted... Just to give you an idea - my quote, to which I've agreed - of around 15K - went up to over 25K. When I asked Craig why the price increased so much, he explained that I've added a lot of extra items and that all things add up. This all took place during evening time. The next morning, I pulled Craig's quote - to which I agreed - and started comparing it to the revised one line by line. I noticed that he increased the prices for almost every item on the list - this is NOT something I asked for at any point!!! While I was finishing up my analysis and discussing this with my wedding planner, Craig was extremely pushy and kept sending me emails that he needs a response ASAP. In his emails he was claiming that if I wanted to scale back on my wedding, he needed to know NOW. I asked Craig to give me few hours to review everything and told him that it is not my intention to scale back but to rather understand the quote.Couple of hours later, my wedding planner spoke to Craig directly and my quote magically went down to what I expected it to be - the original 15K plus an extra 1-2K for the additions I had. At that point, I agreed to the revised quote hoping that it would be a smooth process going forward. Unfortunately, this is not what happened - unable to write further due to word count limit. I will give Craig the credit and will say that the venue looked spectacular HOWEVER - he did not personally show up to either of my events, the flowers to church we delivered 5 minutes before the ceremony (while all guests were sitting inside) and one of my bridal bouquets was completely NOT what I asked for. Thank you Craig for all your hard work but I wish the experience leading up to my wedding was a much smoother one.
