As a member I have hosted several very successful company functions at the Club (territory meetings, employee seasonal celebrations, year end seasonal luncheons) and organized several in-club events for the curling section and bonspiels that included the element of food, beverage and decor. Most recently, I hosted an intimate company sponsored Retirement Dinner for myself and 19 of the my guests. While I have had nothing but successes and great feedback from anyone who has attended one of these events at Thornhill Club, the recent retirement dinner hit an all-time high with the very unexpected elegant affair. It surpassed any expectations I had preconceived from the elegant decor designed by Anna and her staff, the impeccable bar and table service by Guy and his staff that night, to the amazing, mouth-watering 5-course/5-star food prepared and served to us that evening.
Thanks to everyone for making my experiences with event at Thornhill exceptional. We have used the facilities of the Thornhill Country Club for the last five years in several occasions, mostly for our annual Christmas Lunch. The facilities are beautiful in the summer months and very festive during the Holidays Season. The food is good and the presentation excellent. During the Holidays the club is bursting with events but the staff in the restaurant and in the administration office have always been very accommodating and friendly. Our Retiree Association holds 2 Luncheons a year at Thornhill. We have been very satisfied with the service that we receive from Thornhill. The room where the Luncheon is served is nicely decorated, and the menu that we choose has always been excellent in taste and presentation. We also enjoy the use of the bar and when weather permits the use of the outdoor patio. The servers do a good job and keep everything on time. Anna Bonis is very helpful and obliging to any of our requests or concerns. We also held a evening Gala at Thornhill which was most successful and all our Retirees were very happy with the outcome of the party. I do recommend Thornhill as a great place to hold a function.
