We ordered vegetarian soup for an important client lunch, and the soup had chicken in it. Unbelievably greasy eggplant sandwiches, as well. We will not be ordering from here again.
Great food for a reasonable price. The restaurant is kind of small, but pleasant nonetheless. The food is consistently fresh and tasty. The eggplant parmigiana is made fresh with a wonderful spicy tomato sauce on a fresh roll, and the salad that comes with it is very good. Note that this place is only open for lunch during the week; it is otherwise a catering business.
Best Italian sandwiches and very friendly staff / owners. A nice lunchtime recluse.
Ive always been one to recommend this place to my friends and colleges in the Markham area, for the superb taste and quality of food. However, my last 3 visits to this place have left me so utterly disappointed. Either the female taking orders is racist and speaks to all people of color so rudely or without any attention to customer service, or she just dislikes me period. I have witnessed her greet every other caucasian person entering the restaurant with a smile and excited tone. Yet every time I approach the pick up or cash register shes frigid. I asked her for Hot sauce and she rolled her eyes at me and told me it should be enough! Who DOES that? Im the customer. Anyway I ended up paying for my hot sauce. $2.50 for legit the smallest hot sauce container I can think so (see picture below). Its not just I who has noticed this, my coworkers as we left were quick to turn around and say hey what was that? She doesnt even smile when helping you. For that sole reason alone, I do not think I will be dining at this restaurant further.
Great little Italian place to check out in Markham. I recommend coming before the lunch rush so that you can get a spot. Had the veal sandwich with salad for lunch and it was delicious plus it was good value (about $11)!
