The elegance of Graydon Hall Manor was on full display in Meagan and Matthew’s stunning, garden-inspired wedding. The brilliant Mad Bash Group helped the couple bring organic sophistication to life with stunning floral arrangements, minimal and modern decor, and natural greenery galore — all of which worked together to enhance the sophistication of the venue. Nothing was over-the-top but everything was absolutely stunning. Thankfully the lens of Alix Gould was there to capture each kiss, laugh, and every breathtaking detail. You’ll definitely want to check this one out — and take some notes.
The couple shared a tender moment before taking photos with their fabulous wedding party.
From the Bride: Matt and I met through mutual friends. He definitely had my attention first! We started off as friends, and although we both thought we could be something more, timing wasn’t on our side. The reality was Matt and I had just started to test the waters on our interest in one another when my brother passed away, who Matt knew as well. Matt gave me something to look forward to, and helped pull me out of the darkness more than he will ever know. I am so incredibly thankful for him, and thankful that he had knew my brother. I never have to stop and explain how incredible my brother was, Matt just knows. We often laugh now about calling the first year of our relationship the “grey period”, but really, Matt was my light at the end of the tunnel that year.
One of the most important things to Meagan on her wedding day was to honour her brother Mike, who passed away a few years ago. To do this, she cut out a piece of one on his t-shirts and had it sewn into her dress, keeping him close to her heart all day long. She also walked down the aisle with one of his guitar picks in her bouquet. So sweet!
From the Bride: Walking down the aisle with my dad, we stopped halfway to take a shot of Sambuca! This was a surprise to Matt and all our guests, so there were sound pretty loud cheers following this one! This was actually my dad’s idea, and I thought it was awesome. I was pretty impressed we (for the most part!) managed to keep this a secret throughout the whole wedding planning process. Such a fun way to start the celebrations and get everyone excited for the great night to come.
The newlyweds’ reception is a picture of refined elegance in what was essentially a stunning indoor garden party. Tons of natural light, gorgeous chandeliers, a sleek white palette, and chic florals designed by The Flower 597 made for a night of sophistication but also tons of laughter and love. Later the amazing music from Impact DJ got everyone to their feet.
From the Bride: Our overall vision for the day was an elegant, lush, garden-inspired celebration. Graydon Hall Manor is such a beautiful place to begin with, so we just wanted to highlight its’ natural beauty. We went for all white florals and tons of foliage, and brought in marble and wood accents to play on the natural elements of the terrace. I literally would have brought home all the flowers afterwards if I could have! We really lucked out with all of our vendors – they all worked so hard to make our day everything that we hoped for and more – and boy did they succeed!
