We hired Mike and his company to bartend at my dad's 75th surprise birthday party event last July, WHAT A MISTAKE!!!
1) He showed up to the event, and within 5 minutes of me showing him the kitchen and all the alcohol, he cracked open a beer and started guzzling it. I was shocked. I was thinking, is it normal for a bartender to open a beer and begin drinking it at the event? Are bartenders supposed to be drinking? I let it slide and carried on showing him the bar area.
2) While showing him the alcohol, he made fun of some of the bottles, calling them "trash." We had all kinds of alcohol, and he just made smirky comments.
3) He showed up with a younger female who was going to help him at the bar and serve the crowd; she had told us it was her first day and had no prior training, and Mike also never mentioned that he was the owner of the company.
4) Our guests noticed that Mike was drinking throughout the night, having shots with guests. Some of my guests complained, saying that the bartender appeared to be drunk and was being rude to them when they asked for a drink. He had an attitude with our guests, asking them why they wanted a specific drink.
5) As the night went on, he kept asking my wife for his payment; he said he needed to be paid in full and with a tip.
6) When it was time for a toast, Mike brought out empty glasses to the tables and was pouring the champagne in each glass, spilling it all over the table. My wife had to tell him to go back to the kitchen. She advised him that he needed to fill the champagne glasses in the back and then have the server deliver them to the tables. My wife should not be the one to know this; this should have been Mike's responsibility, and he should know how to serve guests if he were a professional with any training.
7) At this point, back in the kitchen, he was arguing with my wife very loudly, and the guest could hear them. I went into the kitchen and saw that he was completely drunk, slurring and arguing with my wife; he was up in her face. I then told him and the female server to leave, as he is drunk and they have done a horrible job with the service. He was yelling at me and then spat in my face. I grabbed him and pushed him back and advised him to calm down and leave, or we would call the police.
He then punched me in the face. I was bleeding. At this point, there was now a considerable commotion in the kitchen. Some of our guests had to escort them to the elevator and down to the lobby to leave the building.
What a horrible experience, he ruined our event as he is an alcohiloic who can't control himself, I have read other reviews that she he has done similar at those peoples events, this guy is a fraud and has no professional experience bartending, he is very unprofessional and rude, he needs to be shut down, He didn't ask me for the payment he went to bully my wife, she paid him, he's lucky he didn't ask me for the payment. The entire night was ruined, and my sister inlaw had to take over the bartending duties, and my wife had to serve.
Mike hires people to work on the day of the event with no experience and does. He doesn't have a real staff; he is a scammer. There is a video online where you can see him drunk and barely standing up; he's a loser, a scammer. DO NOT HIRE MIKE ROBINSON; you will regret it.

Mike Robinson, please learn to communicate respectfully with your customers, especially those who are paying for your services. Your approach to business is incredibly rude and dismissive. I strongly advise others to read the reviews before booking. I will NEVER use these services again.
