The Bradford Barn is a picturesque farm estate situated on a sprawling, forested country landscape just outside the town of Bradford, north of Newmarket, minutes from the 400 and 88 highways. Joran: Joran is the owner of the barn. Communication was incredibly easy. He was always quick to return calls if we didn't catch him right away. He was at the venue the day of our wedding and the morning after to ensure we got all our belongings (alcohol and personal décor). The barn even made sure to have it all packed up and ready to go for us!
Soula: you don't need a wedding planner WRONG! Soula is at your service 100% of the time. She is just an e-mail, text or phone call away! The best part? Her services are included in the venue price. Soula is everything you think and didn't think you need! She literally took care of everything for us and was always 2 steps ahead of us! Our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without her!
Soula ensured that our day was PERFECT! She also ensured that she kept everything moving in a timely manner so that there was time for everything we wanted to do. The wedding went off without a single hiccup. I am still in awe of how amazing she is!
Venue: The venue itself is breathtaking. It is very well maintained, and the gardens are beautiful! The ceremony space overlooks a beautiful field (we were lucky enough to still have the corn stalks in the background for our fall theme).
Preferred vendors: I highly recommend their preferred vendors!
- DJ (Costa Entertainment): Shawn was a pleasure to work with. He was the DJ and emcee for our wedding. He helped build the itinerary of the night and paid close attention to details. He kept my guest entertained throughout the evening and played great music all night!
- Catering (Cibo Special Event Catering): The food was AMAZING! We did the pig roast buffet menu. There was so much food, everyone was well fed! The wait staff were phenomenal. Moreover, David and Maria (owners) are amazing to work with! They by far exceeded my expectations and everyone is still raving about the food from our wedding!
PROS:
- The barn is heated so your guest WILL NOT be cold! This is a big bonus!
- BATHROOMS!! They have functioning bathrooms located on site! A lot of other barn venues I looked at you had to rent them.
- There are so many pieces of décor provided by the barn! They have a room filled with décor that you can pick from! This took so much stress of me from having to make or rent décor.
- The Bradford Barn also included lawn games for the guests to play during cocktail hour. All my guests loved this!
- The Bradford Barn Photo Frame: They have a cute life size photo frame that is cute to take pictures with. I had someone taking family photos to share with my family after the wedding. I highly suggest this! It's so hard to get everyone together sometimes to take family photos! Your guests will love you for it!
- There is a downstairs portion to the barn that can be used for dinner and then have the whole upstairs for your reception after! From what I remember the downstairs of the barn is not heated like the upstairs.
- They have a sign ceremony where you can bring a plaque with your names on it, and they will hang it on a pole with everyone else who has been married at the barn (see photos)
- No clean up: The Bradford Barn takes care of the clean-up with the EXCEPTION to the bridal suit and man cave!
- They also have a financing option which not all venues have! This was very helpful for my husband and I.
- Live Band: There is a live band that plays in between the DJ and they were amazing! The guests loved it! Weddings don’t tend to have live bands anymore, so it was a unique touch!
- Fire Pit: the barn has a fire pit outside that can be used which is another unique touch. We had a late night smore bar for our late-night snack.
CONS: None! I honestly can't think of a single thing that would have made our day anymore special! This entire team is amazing! Our guests said that our wedding was one of the best weddings they have ever been to too!

From the 1st meeting with the venue-provided Wedding planner (Soula) in a snow storm, to the subsequent calls and on-site meetings with her to pick out decor and show our parents, to the final end product - a wedding of our dreams - this place was EVERYTHING to us. There are 2 significant stars that make this place - the venue and the wedding planner - Soula.
First let us tell you that we are really laid back and chill and not into stressing out, and a wedding can certainly stress you out. This venue and the way they have it all included allowed us to not stress over every little thing as they took care of everything!
1st the wedding planner - Soula.... She 100% was a star for us, she was up front, honest, open and funny. She was able to give us all the details on the venue, the band, the Dj, the caterer and she was available from the minute we met her through the end of the night and the next day! She also knows her flowers and was able to perfectly match our wedding colours with flowers and help us solidify our vision of what our day would look like. She even delivered them to us on the day of the wedding in perfect condition. She coordinated with our officiant, she worked out the timing at our rehearsal and our wedding day and was there every step of the way and WAS INCLUDED!!! We didn't have to pay for a wedding planner separately- this was something we never thought we would ever need, but something that we couldn't have gone without. She is a phenomenal value add and a significant part of our day and we cannot thank her enough.
2nd the Venue - The Bradford Barn, again we cannot say enough about the beauty of this venue. The owner Joran met with us and was happy to help out with everything from contract communication, payment schedules etc to meeting us during the site visits to walk us through with Soula on some things to help make our day easier. He was even there the next day personally to help us out with the collection of the extra alcohol and some items we brought to add to our day. He had it all packed up and was amazing to work with.
The venue has a MAN-CAVE and a BRIDAL SUITE on site that we used as soon as we arrived on our wedding day and it was perfect for us in our own ways. The ceremony location is stunning with a slight amphitheater style sloped bench seating guaranteeing everyone a perfect view of the raised ceremony deck. The Arbour was decorated in advance and the flowers we bought were all hung beautifully on it. The isle was decorated and they even provided some special touches of fresh rose petals that were from some extra flowers we had. The ceremony location looks out over a stunning field of green with ZERO buildings in view, nothing but blue sky and sunshine – omg we loved it!
The cocktail hour was held outside and this space is spectacular and perfect for our outdoor wedding. The bar is beautiful, the walkways and gazebos that our guests were able to utilize were great. They have lawn games and a photo booth frame you can chose to have out. We were able to use some of this space for our photos as well.
The property is stunning and there are so many small little areas that our photographer fell in love with. We used them all and our pictures reflect the uniqueness of the venue.
The dining area was in the lower part of the barn and was perfect on our hot sunny day as it was naturally a bit cooler. It held our group of 120 perfectly and lots of room for catering and the DJ. We really love the special touches and décor they offer on site. The signage was themed perfectly for the venue, we even had a “in memoriam” table with photos of family members who had passed recently and were unable to join us. These little things and the way they managed them and moved them from the dinner to the reception are was so thoughtful and was appreciated. Dinner was fantastic, the DJ was great and provided audio for our speeches.
We moved upstairs for the dancing and OMG our guests could not stop talking about the layout, the bar, the dancefloor, the stage with the band and the incredible sound and lightshow that was included!!! The Bradford barn even suggested a space in the area for use as a CANDY BAR, and then at night we even ordered about 13 party pizzas to be delivered (from a local pizza joint) to the event and the venue/ catering staff had it all set up for us. Pizza was ah-mazing and just what everyone wanted at 1030pm after dancing and drinking all night!
The band we had was Table 69 and OMG are they amazing! They pick up right where the DJ leaves off and vice versa. I was very afraid of a live band that I hadn’t picked or heard before the wedding and OMG I could not have picked a better one! Thank you so much to the venue for sourcing the band! Our guests still talk about them!
We got engaged in March 2022 and Married July 16, 2022. To put together as epic of a wedding as we did in that short amount of time would not have been possible without a venue like this that is truly turn-key and having people like Soula to stand by you to make sure its everything you ever dreamed of is priceless!
We cannot recommend this place enough, it has elegance and charm and is rustic but classy and the most important part to us, it was FUN, and our guests keep talking about how it was one of the best, if not the best weddings they have ever been to!
